Hello from West Texas (Land of no Trees)

Good Morning Ladies,

Forgive me if I have already done this (my memory escapes me right now and couldn't find where I had posted), so...

I am fairly new to digi scrapping (started in Jan 2017). I live in West Texas in a small town outside of Wichita falls. I have 5 children (3 boys, 2 girls)... clarity I only gave birth to two of them. However, they all belong to me! I hate the word "step" child/parent. My husband travels for work, all of my children are out of the house and its just me and my 4-legged child Marty most days. I have been traditional scrapbooking for 10 years. I love both! I don't have any friends close that scrapbook to hang out with so, its just me~ Any hints, tricks or constructive criticism you can provide on my layouts will be great appreciated

Well to be honest, I started with Publisher. However, my youngest son has been teaching me a little about Photoshop and I have been playing around with it. I have not created a layout with it as of yet. He just updated me to 15 this past weekend and I have been finding my way around. I started planning layouts and dropping photos and papers/elements into folders for that project so I can have everything in one location. I have only been digi scrappin' since Feb 2017, so still new and learning

The ladies here are all so friendly and helpful.

There are some wonderful tutorials in the forums, great for those just starting out (and those wanting to learn a new trick)
 
hello and welcome to Gingerscraps! I was also a paper scrapper for many years. I still dabble with making greeting cards and such-- I still have quite a stash I need to use up! haha!
