I live just north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, on a small acreage. We have fruit trees, a vegetable and herb garden plus a lot of native trees and bushes around.
I am married and we have 2 beautiful cats (Lilo and Stitch), a coop full of chickens and our rooster Chester, and an aviary of budgerigars. In addition to our pets, we get a lot of wildlife, including wallabies, the occasional koala, goannas, frogs, toads, snakes and birds. My husband has adult children and grandchildren who live interstate, as do my family. My husband's siblings and their families mainly live in and around Brisbane.
I work full time and have a lot of interests: reading, sewing, needlework (eg. cross stitch, embroidery), scrapbooking, photography, baking and cooking. Between keeping a clean house and work, I have limited time but try to do something I love every weekend.
I've been scrapbooking in various forms for a long time. I used to regularly participate in digital scrapbooking events back in the RAKScraps days (for those that may remember) and then somehow life got busy, and the digital world of scrapbooking expanded and some of the communities faded. A couple of years ago I gifted myself a creative cloud subscription and need to use it more often than for my monthly calendar that I print for home, so I'm going to check out the challenges and see where the inspiration leads.
