Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone,
My name is Cristy. I am a A&P turned Stay at home mom when my youngest was born 16 years ago (I have two boys 16 and 20).
I've been scrapping for about 16 years now. Not so much since my Dad died almost 4 years ago. I came back to scrapping when my son made Eagle Scout 18 months ago and then let it go again until this week when I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about digital scrapping. I've done it in the past and have come back full force.
I recently took about 14,000 pictures while on a 15 day cruise to Hawai'i and back. I knew there was no way I could afford the supplies to scrap all those pictures. So I'm so happy to get back to digital. I've already scrapped 2 layouts of my cruise this week. I can't wait to get more done.

I'm into NASCAR big time and I crochet on the side. I guess scrapping came natural since I taken thousands of pictures every time I attend NASCAR races and go on any other trips. You could say I am a shutter-a-holic. Me and my camera are never far apart. My new cat had become my newest photo obsession.

Enough babbling. I can't wait to get to know everyone around here.

welcome to GingerScraps Cristy! I can't wait to see your gallery filling with layouts :)

Welcome to GS.

We share a love of cruising and NASCAR. Hawaii is on my bucket list for sure (along with a Panama Canal and Transatlantic. :)

I live about 3 miles from the track in Charlotte so we're firmly in the middle of NASCAR country. Who is your favorite driver? With the retirement of Tony, I'm probably putting my support behind Kevin Harvick (which is funny when I think that I used to dislike him).

I can't wait to see some of your cruise pics!!

Hello from one NASCAR fan to another! I can't wait to see your pictures and your layouts! I bet they will be fantastic!

I've been down to Charlotte a few times. Never to see a race, but to visit the shops. We are huge Gordon fans here. We attend the races at Michigan International Speedway every June. I guess now we are Chase Elliott fans when the little twirp doesn't piss me off.

My mom took me to Hawai'i. It was so much fun. I'm scrapping the botanical gardens today. I've already got 6 pages done for it.

Wow 14,000 photos! I take a lot of the same photo so I can pick the best shot-though it is usually a face or rodeo shots, I assume you do the same? If not, that is a lot of photos just to go through! You certainly have your pick for doing challenges and the like!

Alot of the time I will end up taking a bunch of the same thing trying to get it just right. When I was on my cruise I took 50 pics of the sunset in Ensanada trying to get the perfect one and I did (my all time fav sunset pic). But I also took about 1,200 pics of all the flowers at the botanical gardens in Hawai'i. I took 2 of each flower, one up close and one further back.
At the races I take butt loads of pics of the cars because you never know if the car you are aiming at will be in the picture and it all happens so fast you don't have time to view each one after you snap the picture.

Hey from a fellow Mitten state person :)

Congrats on the Eagle Scout accomplishment and I am glad you are getting back into digital scrapbooking...I have been able to scrap tons of Brownie and Cub Scout photos myself and can look back at my pages and see what our children were up to at a young age.

See you around....

Hi there. And welcome.
We were in Hawaii a total of 11 days [I think] with a 7 night cruise around the islands. It was beyond awesome. Many pages are in my gallery here.
and I'm almost done with the book!
