folder previews not showing :(

Hi Ladies

I'm hoping one of you is able to help / advise me with this...

So my hubby gifted me with a new laptop, HOORAY!!! Happy Dancing!!! At least, I was happy dancing until I moved my scrapbook kits over and can no longer see the preview of the kits from file explorer.... at least not until I go into the actual folder...

This is sooo frustrating as I now have to click on every folder to see what's in it, whereas before I could see the folder preview and see the color scheme etc at a glance.

Can anyone assist?? Any and all help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! I think the new laptop is Windows 11.

Thanks soo much for all your help!

For years now, I have used "ICOfx" to create icons for my folders. Then I just "change" the icon. It's hugely time consuming, but I get the look I want. Currently using Windows 10.

There is no fix...outside of using a 3rd party tool, which I haven't found yet.
Luckily, some time ago, I made a separate folder with just previews!!! That is the only thing that has saved me since "upgrading" to Windows 11. I don't the new platform honestly, but losing the thumbnail/previews was a huge take away. Hopefully, they get enough complaints (I submitted one) and will rework the feature.

Thank you soo much ladies! This negative upgrade is horribly frustrating. I'm hoping they are flooded with complaints and are forced to bring this feature back. I'm seriously wishing I had thought to take screen shots of the folders so I could use that to help choose kits by colour etc. All the best ladies and once again, thank you all for your help and input!

I have uploaded some icons to my server in a Zip File. For some GS collab kits: Beautifall, Family Game Night, Indian Summer, Over the Moon and Wild Heart.

If you want to try this method (not sure how it works in Windows 11).
Unzip it
add an icon file to your coordinating kit folder
right click on the folder
properties box comes up
customize
change icon
locate the kit folder and select the icon
hit apply
hit ok

I use IcoFX, purchased years ago, but I think this one might be free if it works for y'all!
