Fit Bit

I have what is called ActiveLink through the Weight Watchers system. I did the 7 days of base level and am now all geared up for Feb 1 and get moving. It does not give me as many things I see from the Fitbit but it does interact with my weight program.

I loved mine but had so many problems that I don't use it now. The 1st band cracked so I had to get a new one. I always had some trouble getting it to charge but now it will not charge at all. In the past I could wiggle the cord and try to get it to sit good in the charger but no matter what I do now it will not charge. Mine is 1 year old so maybe the new models are better

I love my fitbit, I have a Flex.. and it's awesome. I also have the Fitbit scale which is nice that it keeps all the info together.

I have a Garmin that is the equivalent of a FitBit. I've used the Garmin running GPS systems for years, so it only seemed natural to get their activity tracker as well.

As a registered dietitian and certified group fitness instructor I can tell you that the calorie counts on these things are quite inaccurate. The heart rate readings are good though, and if you properly calibrate them, the distance readings are good as well. But you do need to calibrate it for your own stride length. The calories though, those aren't accurate. They give a general idea, but often estimate on the high side.

I have a Garmin Vivofit and LOVE it. Had two Fitbits and they just didn't hold up for me. My Garmin has run two years on it's battery. Love not having to worry about charging it!

I have the charge2 fitbit. It is amazing to see how poorly I sleep but at least I'm getting my 10,000 steps in and 64-80 oz water on a regular basis.
