Feburary blues?

Anyone suffer from this? It's so dreary and blah.

If so, how do you keep yourself from getting down this time of year?

I tend to binge watch mindless tv and also have my books and scrapping of course! I haven't been doing much the last month though since I've had some health stuff to deal with. (I'm getting better now!)

I'd love to go away somewhere warm....a day on the beach would be all the medicine in the world I need! I envy you girls who live in the warmer climates all year round.

I'm trying to convince DH to move to a tropical location but he's not buying it. lol.

I don't get the blues ... but I do feel that cabin fever setting in after a long winter in Michigan. This winter hasn't been too bad, so there's that. But I am starting to want to be outside in the fresh air.

Mine isn't Feb. Blues its just the blues but I am hoping this trip next week to Hawaii will perk me up! Chan and I are celebrating 20 years!

Move to California :) One day we have 80 degree weather, the next day El Nino storms, lol...fun/not so fun!

Hope your blues turn into rainbows soon and as the temps rise, your spirits do, too.

Kim-- WOW, fun and happy, happy 20 years!! Can't wait to see all your layouts from the trip.

Actually my spirits are good..lol...I just had a friend say she gets the Feb. blues. I'm doing fine! :36_1_19:

Too hot here for the blues....a week of high 30degreeC temps with higher to come...I am melting....send me some snow...

I totally get the February/winter blues. I thought it would be better this year because we went on vacation to southern California. But coming home was worse! Luckily we have had a few sunny "warm" (50 degree) days- I've bundled up the kids and gotten out in the sunshine and that seems to help us all.

I have told my husband that we too need to move somewhere warmer... but he's not buying it. Something about staying where we have good jobs and family. Ugh! He's such a party pooper :P!

It has been unseasonably warm here and that has definitely helped, but all us moms of my girls' dance class decided to call it 3rd quarter Blues bc the 3rd quarter of school is always the hardest.

I'm doing good. Our weather is like a roller coaster in the winter.

Enjoy Hawaii Kim. We sure LOVED our trip.

Trace where do you live? I SO can relate! I live in Western Idaho which is a LOT warmer than the rest of Idaho and Utah. However, everything still does dormant and looks really ugly. While it is getting to be mid 50's right now, I am seriously suffering the February blah blues. It starts in january, builds in February and peaks in early March until it gets warm enough to really sit outside and be bare-foot. I judge my mood by the need to wear socks. If it's cold enough to wear socks, I am generally the least pleasant.

The way I deal with it...Snuggle up in bed or recliner with a blanket and hoodie, binge watch all the great TV shows I love (see that other forum thread) and play games on my phone or scrap or both. I should be a lot more productive in the winter with scrapping but motivation in February is so low.

Jen, I'm in Ontario right between Toronto and Niagara Falls. :) Snowbelt. However we haven't had hardly any snow this year.
