Favorite Thanksgiving Dish

For those who celebrate (I realize Canada's was last month, but you can still help a girl out. :blush), what is your favorite Thanksgiving dish? To eat or to fix? Inquiring minds want to know. I am helping my MIL cook Thanksgiving dinner this year. This is the 1st time she is hosting, and the 1st time I will be cooking for it. So, I thought I would see what others did.

Besides the standbys - Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Stuffing, rolls
I love to have *and make* Sweet Potato Souffle. It is a little different than the casserole version with marshmallows on top and could really be considered a dessert since it has so much brown sugar.

Yum Yum Yum! It is 8:30 in the morning here and you all have my mouth watering for Turkey dinner.

I LOVE pumpkin pie and sweet potato casserole. The sweet potato souffle sounds yummy!

My sister in law loves her some cranberry sauce too Em. I cannot stand it though. blech.

The brined turkey looks delicious Jen. I bet it smells even better!

I love my brother's sweet potatoes. HE does a layered dish with sliced Sw. Potatoes, onions, cream and a bunch of spices. It is SO good.

I also love squash and stuffing. Homemade stuffing is the best!

I agree Trace. I find that unless it is homemade, I don't really care for stuffing.

My mom always cooks Thanksgiving dinner for us out at the lake house. Our standards are turkey, broccoli with cheese sauce, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, cranberry orange relish, stuffing (loads of it), gravy, and an assortment of pies depending on the year. This year since we have extra people coming she is also doing a crock pot brussel sprout recipe that we love!
