I waited on responding to this post until I could make my spreadsheet... yes I have to do that every year to make sure my DVR can handle all the fall shows (This harkens back to my VHS recording days when my VCR could only record one show while I watched another at the same time. I had to be VERY selective, LOL) Can you tell I have a TV problem? My husband thinks I'm crazy, but this is seriously something I look forward to every year. We watched a lot less TV last year and let several shows go by the wayside. (a few of the superhero shows, unfortunately)
I told myself I'd only pick 5 new fall shows to start, and I ended up picking like, eleven? A couple are just miniseries, like the JonBenet one (I know, I'm a terrible person) and a couple more we're just going to try out because we like the actors. I don't necessarily have high hopes for them... The Good Place (Kristen Bell) Bull (Michael Weatherly) MacGyver (George Eads) and Speechless (Minnie Driver) I'm not sure if we'll stick with any of those.
I think of all the new shows I'm really looking forward to only a couple, Timeless and Designated Survivor. I'm a sucker for time travel shows and I'm always up for a good "everyone in the government is dead except one dude, now what will we do?" story.
Looking forward to the return of lots of shows- Big Bang, Blindspot, Quantico, NCIS, Originals, Elementary, Flash, etc. And a few I want to catch up on before the new season starts. Once Upon a Time, Doctor Who, Sleepy Hollow (I think that got renewed?)
Where I'm having a problem... which "problem" is a strong word, is fitting in regular DVR'ed TV in with shows I want to watch on Netflix. We've started SO many shows on Netflix only to abandon them because we were running out of room on the DVR and needed to watch those to clear out room. Which is ridiculous because we have a bajillion hours of storage on there. So for those who watch regular TV and have a streaming service, how do you balance what to watch when? Or am I the only one with this "problem"?
*Edit: I use this site for figuring out premiere dates and schedules. They have a handy calendar. It also shows Netflix and Amazon dates, plus things like presidential debates.
