Welcome back Lynnie, I kept up-to-date on FB of your and Karen's adventures...WOW! So happy that you two were able to spend such quality time together. AND...80 scrapbook pages...very impressive!

Sorry to hear of Karen's rough time at the airport but happy to hear Mark will be settled in a new home in Ohio.

Put your feet up and take advantage of the wonderful peace and quiet!

I am in my pajamas for a few hours! I am so pleased to be doing NOTHING. I was so worn out last night after we got back from the Ramona Play (amazing - three hours - outdoors in the heat - the play has been running annually for 101 years!). I just couldn't babysit today. Monday is Steven's day off; he does errands and household jobs while I babysit. He is going to have a relaxing day playing with the kids. I also had my friend spending the night and spending the day tomorrow. She had to cancel because she has a cough, so all I have today and tomorrow is my book club. It is nice to have some time off, but I was looking forward to seeing Pam.

Maybe I will scrap some of my trip - or at least take the 80 pages I did and spend more time on each one :) Then I can work out what kits I used and post a few.

Sherri, good to see you here! I echo what Lynnie said- put your feet up and relax! :)

Lynnie, awesome book! I love seeing your adventures. :)

I've got a few things planned for this week: building planter boxes for the garden, going to Eren's band concert, picking strawberries, and doing other garden things (mixing dirt, planting, etc.).

Lynnie, your book is beautiful and I am sure Karen is so happy to take home such a treasure of your fun times. Thanks for sharing.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the the book Lynnie!
Paris is where Lacy & Nick got married!!!
Love the map and itinerary. Looks like you two had a maavelous time. Now I have so many more places that I want to visit. Darn you, woman! <3

Lynnie, I finally had a moment to check out your book! Well done! I appreciate how you kept the pages in neutral tones with minimal elements to really let your photos (and your adventures) shine through! What a keepsake! <3

Hi everyone! I've been busy with lots of get-together with friends in my community. We play mahjong, mexican train, bingo and euchre every week. I've never had such a busy social life. We also go to bingo on Monday nights and we have a few ladies luncheons every month. I've met some wonderful people here in Alberta. It's been a bit challenging trying to find some scrapping time but I know eventually I'll figure out a schedule. I've also been out for bird photography once or twice each week with a group and get the dogs over to the park almost every day.

We got a big dump of snow which is crazy because a few days ago many were wearing shorts and sandals. I love Alberta but the weather sure is crazy here.

Lynnie - I saw your album and it is lovely. What a fantastic assortment of photos from the trip. Well done!

I'm heading to bed. It's been a long day.

Prayers please...
Hubby's apple watch 'diagnosed' A-fib in January after a physical in December said fine. Fast forward: several outpatient diagnostic tests...which led to an outpatient diagnostic heart catheterization on Tuesday April 23......to open heart double bypass and maze on Thursday...to still in CVICU today. Surgery a success but many body organs and systems in a shock and not cooperating.
It's been bumpy.......
I'm around...some...for my sanity.

Michi, I am so sorry to read that all is not going well with your husband. I will be praying for him and you as it is not easy to watch this happening with our loved ones.

Michi - hugs and prayers sent for your hubby. I hope that everything resolves for him and he can get back to good health. That is a whirlwind of stress and complications. I hope popping in here gives you some distraction and helps you de-stress. That is a lot going on.

Michi, it must be so difficult for you right now. Prayers and hugs coming your and your hubby's way from me! <3

So sorry to hear this Michi, hope the organs start cooperating and he gets healing quickly.

‘’rae - yes crazy weather. Glad you’ve found such an awesome social circle.

Alexis actually FaceTimed me from Stonehenge, it was like really being there, took my breath away. She did a couple days in London stayed at the girl guide pax lodge. Also did the Roman baths, abbey road crosswalk, down by Thames, the eye, and Big Ben. Then she headed to Sheffield, where her friend is in law school. Fancy law cotillion last night, and then they found out the concert that they were going to Saturday was cancelled. The two girls are devastated. It was one of main reason Alexis went, other than seeing friend.

Sherri - maybe one of these days I'll make it out your way and we can meet up. I want to start exploring once the weather is warmer.

Mich, so sorry to hear of your hubby's health issues. Hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery and remember to take care of yourself too.

This is fantastic, I love the layout of the map and schedule, gives me ideas for Alexis big trip. Your book is awesome, your friendship extraordinary

I did the book really quickly, so there is not much artistry :) I enjoyed making it, but the pages leave a little bit to be desired. Still, she loved it and that is what counts. I did a similar paper-scrapped book from a trip I made in 1995 with my cousin, the one who died last week. We had such a lovely time. I did the map and the statistics on that one also. I keep thinking I will redo a few of the pages, but I need a few days of not doing anything..

Don't forget it is International Scrapbooking "Day" from May 3rd to May 9th. If you go to the main level of the forums, there are activities, games, and sales. Fun Fun Fun!!!!

Man, all kinds of fun stuff happening with INSD!!!! I've been a little MIA in the forum. Trying to get some layouts created while prepping for vacation. Then our tenants decided they don't want to renew so now we are trying to show/sell the house we just moved out of. Fun times.

Carla thank you so much for the special card on my difficult day, you hit it right on, I appreciate it so much. It’s so pretty and it’s got shiny’s on it.

the 3rd was overly emotional. One year anniversary since I got all those 7 shocks and my heart decided it wanted to die again and take me with it. A month in hospital, ten days in icu, a external emergency pacemaker, loss of EF of my heart, and still waiting for more help today. Very emotional

Happy Saturday, all. We've had quite the week of storms and tornados. Of course, like any good midwesterner, when the tornado sirens went off, we went directly to our porch to take a look at the sky! Our community was spared, but one just north of us had quite a bit of damage and a fatality. Very sad. People from the surrounding communities rallied and showed up to help with the clean up efforts.

Today we are expecting rain, but no severe storms. I'm scheduled to volunteer at the High School ElectroRally event that we sponsor. Teams of students build and race one-person solar vehicles. Solar vehicles + rain = a slow race.

Hopefully I can play along with some of the iNSD fun and games later tonight or tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
