I'm sitting here listening (okay and singing at the top of my lungs too lol) to a bunch of old songs on my laptop...feeling, well, sappy! LOL....

Songs like Bring Him Home from Les Miz, Don't want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith, One Boy, One Girl by Collin Raye (DH and my wedding song), Unwritten by Bettingfield. and my all time favourite sappy song I'll Cross My Heart by George Strait..those sorts.

I'm not crying but man...memories flooding in. :)

What are your go to sappy songs?

I sometimes stick the CD from Shrek the Musical in my car CD player and sing away.... LOL. So many great memories from that show! (My son was Shrek in his high school's production).

When my hubby got transferred to chicago, I would make the drive from Detroit everyother weekend and listen to RENT in the car on the way there. Needless to say, I memorized it after awhile.

Each of my kids have a "song" that we call theirs - my daughter's is A Whole New World from Aladdin (it came on when she was born). My oldest sons is Somewhere Over the Rainbow & What a Wonderful World by Iz Kamakawiwo'ole, and my youngest's song is Close to You by the Carpenters. Wind Beneath My Wings was a song my daughter sang to me during her Sweet 16 party and it really makes me tear up because I guess I never felt like I was the best mom.
Yeah, so thanks, Trace, for making me cry! LOL! :kisses

My Wedding party song was What A Wonderful World. A favourite of my Dad who passed away. It's how we honoured him at our wedding.
