Ever had a dream so real, you thought it happened?

I did..last night. It was so weird. My dad had come to me and was standing at the end of my bed. I swear it was real. I feel like it actually did happen.

My dad died when I was 28. He never walked me down the aisle and never met my kids. In the dream, he said "I'm watching you and I love my grandkids. Don't worry, things will be fine."

It.was.so.real. I woke up crying...but I was calm.

Freaky.
 
This sounds like lucid dreaming Trace..have you heard about it? If you google it you'll see that many people have experiences such as you have had.
 
My mother sat on the bed on the eve of our daughters wedding...she didn't say anything but I wonder, in hindsight, if she was either warning me that the marriage would be....challenging...or if she was telling me it would be fine because it would result in two beautiful boys for us all to love.

Another dream I have, and this happens regularly, goes like this (TMI) :) I need to go to the toilet badly..the scenarios keep changing but often the only toilet is out in the open with no privacy and surrounded by people watching, or I might actually be using the toilet but feeling no relief, or....on it goes. I swear I am going to wet the bed one night!!! Those are the dreams I am very glad to awake from:D
 
My MIL totally believes that when those type of dreams happen that it really is our loved ones being there with us. So believe it or not if it makes you feel good and like things are going to be ok then things will be ok. And I believe your loved ones really are watching out for us. Hugs!
 
I'm going to reply to a question with a question... Ever had a dream so weird that when you wake up you think thank goodness that didn't really happen? LOL

I have the bathroom dream very regularly, have since I was a kid. It takes me forever to find a bathroom and when I do, it doesn't have a door, or it's disgusting, or it's the men's room with only a urinal :blush

I have dreams of loved ones who are gone sometimes, but they're not meaningful or deep or anything. We have slumber parties and go to the grocery store and regular things like we did when they were here. And we all search for the ever-elusive clean toilet with a door....
 
I had an identical dream, but it was my grandmother who raised me who stood by my bedside. She passed when I was 12 years old.
