Drop Shadows

Hello all! So I've been pondering drop shadows since I came back and playing around with different settings, and wanted to see what others' thoughts were on the subject. Before I took my two year scrapping break I was largely using drop shadows that were at the 120 degree. Since I have been back I have been playing with more of a 45 degree shadow which I am liking for the most part.

My question is... is there one degree you stick at for your drop shadows or do you change it up depending on the layout itself? I know the thickness and opacity change depending on the element or stacking but I'm talking specifically about the direct of the shadow itself.

Thanks so much for your input! :)

I prefer the 120 default setting as well.
Although sometimes when the papers are layered in such a way the 120 doesn't look like there are shadows on anything. Most of the time I still leave it at 120 because the elements would have the shadow.

I much prefer 120. I like to keep my pages consistent so when I use a template that is pre-shadowed, I always reset the shadow to 120. Just my preference.

I use 45 as to me it looks more real because with real paper scrapping the shadows usually fall to the bottom left because of where the light comes from. I will alter the angle at times when needed.

Here is a great set of styles by Snicker Doodles which has both 45 and 120

I actually have no clue how to do the shadows like some of the ladies here, but came across SnickerDoodle Designs Drop Shadow and use them now...
