Do you make your own photoshop actions?

I made one I use all the time for filling frames with a shape I can clip photos and papers to. I select the inside of the frame, run the action which 1) enlarges the selection by 20 pixels, creates a new layer, names that layer Photo, and changes my fill color to a medium gray. Then I just have to click the bucket, fill the selection on the new layer, and move the Photo layer below my frame.

Do you make actions? What do they do? Does it speed up your work?
 
I use PSE. I can use actions, but can't create them. Even if I could, though, I doubt that I would :)
 
Yes, I'm an action creating addict! I love anything that saves me time! I have made an action for saving my 2 page spreads into the 2 separate sides. I have made an action for saving my jpgs to the web. I have made actions for doing multiple different tasks for when I'm creating templates. If its more than a few steps and I know I'm going to do it more than 2 times, I make an action!!
 
Yep - I've made my own actions too. The one I use the most is sizing for web. I also have a trim action I use quite a bit.
 
Oh the frame action is a great idea! I used to make my actions a lot when I used full PS. I do use a lot of actions in PSE but my two favorites are a save action that saves full sized jpeg and for web with one click. I have a great title builder action where you type in your title and it pulls the letters out of a folder and lines it up for you.

Wow - I need these 2 actions! Did you make them or buy them?! I could make the save action (great idea for the full sized & web with one click!)
But the title one. wow. how? I'm going to need to work on that!

I think it's probably actually three clicks. But still pretty fast :)
