Does anyone else anxiously wait for the final hours of the month to pass just to see what new challenges await us in the GingerScraps forum for the new month?? :bliss:

I have a spreadsheet document that I update monthly where I list the requirements or paste a copy of the photo/required kit so that I can get myself organized and decide which challenges I want to tackle. I made 2019 my year to get back into scrapping and do more pages. So far I've gotten at least 10 challenges done every month. I didn't realize how much I missed scrapping until I came back!
 
Yes, I do. I'm not quite so organized about it, but I love looking at the new challenges and freebies and matching them to my pictures. So fun!
 
Oh do show your spreadsheet please. That would be an awesome way to keep track of things
 
The top corner is my personal link to my Cookie Jar post so I can update it with each page I post.
Green is for uploaded pages. The large 2 is because it is the second one I've done for this month.
Yellow is for a challenge I definitely want to do. I'll list in the "page" column the kit or event I'll scrap if I know for sure.
Blue (not pictured) is for when I've scrapped the page with a CT kit but I will upload it at a later date. I'll list in the "page" column the name of the saved layout so I can find it later and I'll go ahead and number it, too, so I know how many more challenges I need to do.

The description is where I copy the information or image from the forum post.
Monthly link is the forum post for that month.
Forum Link is the link to where all the post for that challenge are. This gets kept from month so month so it is easier to grab the Monthly Link.
Gallery Link is where the layouts go for each challenge when uploaded.
Upload Link is the gallery upload page with the challenge already automatically selected.

When I'm ready to upload a page, I can open up the Upload Link, Monthly Link, & Cookie Jar Link so I can get the page up in the gallery, posted to the challenge post, and listed in the Cookie Jar without having to search the forums. When the new month begins, I can fill in the new descriptions and Monthly Links and start planning my challenges.

Clear as mud? I'm a bit of a spreadsheet nerd! Feel free to ask any questions you have! :nerd:

Well now that is one cool, organized spreadsheet Rhonda. LOOOOVE it! Seeing as how you did all this work, can I steal it from you (PM me please) I like spreadsheets but if you have an awesome one, I do not want to reinvent the wheel here.... :)

I do have a question. I was a bit unclear as to the last 2 columns. Why are there 2? What are each specifically for?

Gallery Link is where the page goes when you upload it. Every page that's in the Back It Up Challenge for example: https://gallery.gingerscraps.net/showgallery.php?cat=1021. I actually don't use these links as often as I thought I would because it's easier to go to My Photos and find my page than to find it in the challenge gallery amongst all the pages from the whole year.

Upload Link is what I click on when I'm ready to upload the page. It will automatically have the category selected so you don't have to scroll through the long list of galleries. For example: https://gallery.gingerscraps.net/uploadphoto.php?cat=1021

I'm thinking you need to create a download link to this super awesome spreadsheet and share it to me too! Yours is a much better system than I have. Don't ask. Mine is lame and doesn't work as well as I thought it would. :)
