Challenges and Gallery

New here and would like to know...
When entering a challenge one needs to upload to the members gallery, challenge gallery, and finally link to the challenge list (cookie jar)?
Or, is it enough to simply upload the page once and add the name of the page to the challenge list (cookie jar)?

Generally one should post the page to the challenge thread and link it as well. Here's how I do it:

I have both the forum and gallery open as separate tabs. I upload the page to the gallery, members' galleries first. Then on the second page, I use the optional category to get it uploaded to the challenge gallery as well. After it's uploaded and lands on my gallery, I click on the page, then right click on it to get a list, then click on "copy image address." Then I go back to the forum to the quick reply and click the "insert image" button. I paste the link in there, then go back to the gallery to copy the address of the page. Going back to the forum, I click the "link" button and paste that address there. After I click "post quick reply," I go to the cookie jar and edit my post there, again using the "link" button and saving the post.

Clear as mud? I know there's a way you can directly link the picture back to the gallery (click on the page and it takes you to the gallery) but I haven't figured it out yet.
