Calendar question

OK, so at the last minute (well, close enough LOL), I decided that I would like to do a calendar this year. Would you share with me about your favorite site? I did one years ago but don't remember which site I used or how I went about uploading my pages. I'm *thinking* that you upload the LO like you would a photo, but any help would be appreciated! :) Thanks!

ShutterFly was my go-to for many hybrid print projects for many years. Their final product always looked nice and made a good impression on the gift receiver. (I made gifts for relatives that were mostly calendars and books.)

Their turnaround time has gotten better over the years, but there was a gap between when your package was transferred from UPS to parcel post USPS (your local mailman) that seemed to turn into a black hole. I'd track a package and it would "sit" in some transfer location for days and days. It may be better now. I mostly use ArtsCow now.

I too have used Shutterfly for their calendars the past 4-5 years. Flatten your LO to a jpg and just upload as one photo page :)

You're right. The LOs upload from your computer to the site's photobank much the same way we load LOs here in the GS gallery.
I'm thinking it's too late to make a traditional comb-bound calendar in book format and get it mailed back to you in time. But a CD sized calendar is very doable. They make great gifts and they can be printed one-hour locally and the new CD cases are easy to find at places like Dollar Tree. In fact, you've now got me thinking I should do one too! They really are popular gifts with family.

ETA: Trina makes a great point. The one-pager is another solution to last minute gift making.

Have you checked into Walgreens too since it's so last minute? I LOVE ArtsCow, but since everything ships from Hong Kong there is no way you'll get it before January.

I didn't know Walgreens did calendars! I've ordered in December for shutterfly's calendars before, but I don't remember HOW LATE in December...

I use Shutterfly or Snapfish and have had great success. This year I used Shutterfly and they came out awesome. I make the 8.5x11 size. I just checked the holiday shipping schedule and to get it here by Christmas you can order right up until 7 PM on December 17 and have it shipped economy and you will have it by the 24th. Hope that helps.

I'm in process of 1 order [mini books] printed from Walgreens. Ordered Nov 22, delivery date ~dec 1. Spoke to them on the phone yesterday, assured me today....NOPE- not yet.

The calendars I do, I size 4x6 or 5x7 [in my gallery are examples]. Then I purchase those little acrylic frames. available at many local craft and office stores. and print [rather cheaply...1 hour or less ] at CVS or Sam's club. That covers my last minute.

Like you, I haven't done one is forever. I had thought about doing them again this year, but time got away from me.

I make my own and print at 4x6 size at Walmart. We put them in magnetic frames on the fridge. 5 calendars for family for less than $10.
I actually turned mine into quickpages and put them in the store. :)

Great to know Lisa... thanks so much!

Making progress.... have photos in place for 6 months. 1 month completely done. :)

Love these Kim! Question... do you just print each page separately and put it up on the fridge for the given month? I think I'm having a "duh" moment LOL!

Lori, I rotate mine in the plastic frame.
I also make a large one for the side of the refrigerator with all the months on it.
