Bringing files into Photoshop

I just finished moving all of my digital files from an external drive to my Google drive - thinking it would be easier to access from anywhere without worrying if I had my external drive with me. I opened Photoshop, ready to play, but realized that I'm not able to access Google as a 'drive' when I want to open a file from Photoshop. Ugh - seriously? I know I can use OneDrive or Dropbox. I've already paid to upgrade storage in Google. Is there any way to still use Google? I'm dreading having to move files again, it took at least a week.

Have you looked into Google Sync and Backup? I'm not sure it would completely solve your issue, but you might be able to find a workaround that helps you. I haven't used it much, and only in the reverse. It backs up my main photo repository to google photos so that I always have a decent resolution back up of everything. (I don't currently pay for storage on google, so they aren't full resolution, but at least it's something besides my external hard drive.)

You might have to sync a folder on your drive to a folder on google, and copy your most used supplies, or copy kits in and out as you identify that you will use it on a layout or album. But maybe there is something else in the sync that will help you more.
