Blue Day Book

If you were to scrap some pages in a "Blue Day" book - a book that would cheer you up when you were down in the dumps - what would you put in there? Not just family, but favourite places, favourite food, favourite pets, poems, things that cheer you up tremendously. You can even include some pages you have already created. I do have blue days and the first Blue Day book I created years ago was such a lift for me...

These are just a few pictures I might include...

My family (crazy cousins, mother, brother), the place where I grew up, my grandsons

My dog, my husband (not in that order!) and this wacky picture of my daughter because it makes me laugh. Lots more pictures of my family, days that were silly happy memories, for sure.

I would also include some poetry, especially the ones that make me laugh like this (which I can hear, read by Pam Ayers - hilarious!)

And some English Candy - what is not to smile at these childhood favourites:

What would you include?

I did a little mini book like this years ago. I called it my blessings book. I included pictures of the people in my life that bring smiles to my face. It is tiny so fits in my purse but I keep it on my book shelf in my office.

It would be nice to have a little one that fits in my handbag :)

Did you scrap it?

oooh... That is some great idea Lynnie!

Well, I will definitely include my family's wacky photos. We have this tradition, after taking good photos, say, in front of the Christmas tree, or the dinner table, or a simple family picture in the living room, we would also do wacky pictures. We just love doing it.

Then pretty sure I would include my daughter's phrases! Like early this week, we went to the grocery to buy a new knife because I broke our old one, my daughter asked me "What did you do this time?" Oh dear! The look on the faces of the other people was like I was being asked by my mother! hehe

Also, I will include my her art works, she love to draw and paint and write short stories and I love them all!

This is a really good idea, Lynnie, as I have more blue days than I think I do. I'll look through my cache of layouts someday soon and see what I can come up with. :)

That is awesome. I did make a "things that make me happy" book, but times changed, they don't make me happy any more, they make me sad. I need a new book.
