Just curious as to what your favourite part of the holidays are. All aside from gifts, shopping etc.
I think one of my favourite things is the quiet lull on Christmas Eve after the kids go to bed. I love sitting with the music on or a favourite movie with DH (or alone) cuddling under a blanket and just looking at the tree.
I love to bake things and I love to see the anticipation on my kids' faces the days leading up to Christmas Day.
I love when it snows on Christmas Eve, a gentle falling snow, not a blizzard lol, but it hasnt' snowed much here on Christmas in the last few years. We are in for a mild winter they say, so probably not again this year either.
I always have this fantasy of having a Christmas like in a sappy Hallmark movie (the one with Candace Cameron Bure where she goes to buy the resort and ends up falling in love with the son comes to mind) with a fire going and a big tree and everyone in the family here on Christmas morning together to open gifts. That doesn't happen, but I still love the idea of it!
