Are you Superstitious?

Do you..avoid black cats and walking under ladders? When you break a mirror do you believe you will stuck with 7 years bad luck? When you step on a crack are you afraid you will hurt your mothers back?

I don't think that I really am.
I have owned more than 1 black cat,
I, of course, try not to break mirrors, but that is only cause it is a pain to clean up,
I don't walk under ladders, but again - that is just being smart, stuff could fall on your head,
and I have stepped on tons of cracks and my mama is just fine ;) - just why exactly would it break her back anyway??

I guess that you could say that I only follow ones that make sense.

I'm not really superstitious about those things but I totally am about work things. For example, I believe if you make plans for right after work you will have to work late, and if somebody says "it's quiet today!" - then it's gonna get super busy.

I am superstitious about weird things. Every time I get on an airplane, I'll tap the side of the plane as I'm stepping inside, then I tap it again when I get off, I guess to thank the plane for getting me there safely? I have no idea. I also wear the same blue shirt whenever I travel. I left it in a restaurant once and my husband drove two hours to get it back because he knew I "needed" it. I should make a LO about this stuff.

But black cats and stuff, I don't care about any of that. I heard once that if a cat looks in a mirror, it sees it's own death. I still get a little creeped out if I catch Miss Kitty looking in the mirror. Also I will never talk about Bloody Mary or the Bell Witch around any kind of mirrors. You know, in case they use that opportunity to jump through the mirror and stab me...

This is the "Jen needs a therapist" thread.

LOL I wouldn't consider myself superstitious either but like Jennifer there are some things that freak me out and other things I realize I do just because...like if salt spills on the table I have to throw some over my shoulder, even though I don't really truly believe in bad luck from spilling it. Umbrellas in the house I don't care about, walking under a ladder don't care about, I own a black cat and she always walks in front me so nope don't care about that either. But like Jennifer NO ONE is allowed to talk about Bloody Mary in my house and NO Ouija Boards!

omg Kim, have you seen the trailer for the new Ouija board movie?? So scary! (also I'm a big chicken)

In my logical brain I am not. BUT..that being said, I know that if a person coughs on an airplane I will get pneumonia (which happens often) so yeah, maybe a little.

I wholeheartedly agree about Bloody Mary in the mirror and Quija boards! You don't want to release any bad juju into your life lol. I do that with split salt as well!
