Are my pages...

I don't think it's that you are so bad! It's that people look and don't take the time to comment. Also, everyone has different styles...so different things stick out to different people. for instance, I love this lo:
mm_october_kpm1.jpg

How ever in the world did you achieve that look with the photo in the background?! way cool! And the clustering and shadows are beautiful. I love the scatter ON TOP of the cluster and the splatters to help take up some white space. To each her own! :D

I wonder that sometimes, too, Melly! I think people look, but don't have time to comment... That's why the "like" button in the forum & on Facebook is such a good thing :)

No way! They are not bad at all!! I would never have asked you to stay on the GS CT from being a guest if we didn't like your LOs! Silly girl! :) I think that's quiet common!!

Some of the last few of my LOs that I've uploaded have:

And remember any time you go to the LO and get the links (to lets say post in your thread) that counts as a view ;)

I completely agree with the other ladies! I may love a LO, but I don't always comment. Yes, the layout Gina posted above is beautiful! I love the entire layout! :)

Please don't be sad. If you love your layouts, I think that's what matters most anyway! :)

Your LO's are wonderful Melly. I think the gallery is just so busy...it is difficult to comment on all.

Oh Melly I love your layouts! I even get quite inspired by them :kisses!
You are absolutely right to want to hear all kinds of comments, it IS the only way we'll learn.

AND being on the GingerScraps CT means you ROCK :D

That's exactly my thought...my layouts are for me & my family (even when they are CT layouts), so as long as I'm happy with them, then all is good.

Melly I love your LO's too, and I have to admit I am guilty of opening a LO and not commenting, but that's usually because I'm just too tired, lol. Some days I spend far too much time in front of the computer. You can take it as a compliment if you have people opening your LO's for a closer look, even if they don't take time to say anything. You are very talented and have lots of creative inspiration!!

NO! I like your gallery. You can blame on me for not leaving some love in the gallery just due to lack of time. I love doing it, but I just can't having a full time job and JB Studio. I'm trying to be active at the forum though. I love chatting. hehe

After seeing the layout just posted I am off to look through your gallery. I need to do better about looking through the gallery and commenting. I love getting inspiration from the layouts. :)

ooh, don't be silly sweetie! your layouts are wonderful :). I am trying to leave some love in my gallery at least, but I'd need much much more time to leave love on all the layouts I love..

Oh, my gosh, I LOVE your layouts! I wish I had more time to spend in the gallery leaving love!

I have wondered the same thing too Melly. I will often create a page that I think is AWESOME and then there are 0-1 comments. But like was stated above, if it makes me happy then it is great. While I am on the CT, the pages I create are ultimately for me and my family. The CT is just an added bonus.

I know I am not always good at leaving comments either. Usually I am just browsing for inspiration and pull ideas from a multitude of layouts. I need to be better about leaving comments too. Maybe we all need to do a little better about leaving comments?

My internet does not always work as lightening-fast as I would like it to and it often gets slow in the commenting process. Then it's hard to get back to where I was before without starting my search all from the beginning.

It's not just you Melly. Your layouts are amazing :) Its not just here either. ALL galleries these days are not commented on much. I remember when I first started scrapping, I would post a layout and get TONS of comments, critiques etc. But I just think everyone these days is TOO BUSY!!! My personal mantra is that if I click a layout to have a closer look, I always put a few words on the comment section (Because it's Right there!) and leave a bit of love.

I get discouraged and I think everyone else does too, whether they admit it or not, because everyone likes to know people admire their work! I just think it's a product of our "on the go all the time, overscheduled" lives. Nobody has any real "downtime" anymore IMO.

SO, please don't get upset Melly. Your pages are amazing and you are a fabulous designer. :) XO

I often have a hard time pinpointing why I like a layout so I just look at it, think "Wow, that's beautiful!" and then move on because those kinds of comments seem so lame to me! I usually only leave a comment if I can think of something more meaningful to say because I don't want it to come across like one of those lame copy/paste comments you get in the big galleries, you know?

I totally agree to Trace and Lahni. Everyone is super busy and I think if the person took the time to view your page, it means she likes it, it's better not to have so many expectations. And Lahni is so right about the lame "gorgeous layout". I don't like leaving this kind of comments, but sometimes I do because I can't find other words, sometimes I just prefer not to.

When you have a closer look at the layout in the gallery, there is a part with the "additional" infos - there are some "rating stars", but they are not active :(

I second this post.

Also, it seems like over the years, digiscrappers have migrated from DS forum/gallery sites to more private groups on FaceBook. And since most folks are creatures of habit, people don't wander out of usual viewing sites, so smaller view count and comments for a LO.
