Anyone Ever Take the Mastery Class?

I got an email today from Adobe about their Mastery 2 class. It looks interesting, but I'm always skeptical about spending money on something that I don't really know anything about, even if it's Adobe. Has anyone taken the Mastery Classes? Are they worth the money? I've taught myself Photoshop and I'm sure there's much more I could learn. Is the Mastery class just the basics or do you learn more?

So many questions, LOL! If someone could take the time to answer at least some of my questions, that would be awesome.

Have a great day!!!

I have no idea but it does sound interesting. I too taught myself PSE back in 2009 and I am still learning new ways of doing something.

There is another Mastery 2 course that recently released so I thought you might be talking about it. I looked up Adobe Mastery 2 and found a 1 day class for $188? Whoa- personally I would not take it. Sounds a bit advanced for digital scrapping booking purposes plus kind of fast paced if it is only one day. The other Mastery 2 class that recently became available is available from QwikLearn (former Digital Scrapper/Scrappers Guide) titled Digital Scrapbooking Mastery 2 Series for $64. Now this you might be interested in and also benefit from. The Digital Scrapbooking Mastery Series classes guide you through creating a a single page using only Photoshop/Photoshop Elements in 12 lessons- no outside kits, papers, elements etc. -you learn to make your own stuff and learn alot of PS skills along the way! Since this course is new, today is the last day to enroll until after August 1 when it will be more of a self paced offering instead of weekly classes releases. The Mastery 1 Class is $58. Looks like there are some previews of the lessons to give you a feel. I haven't done the Mastery Classes but have done/am doing some of the other QwikLearn/DigitalScrapper classes. I almost signed up for the Mastery 2 class with a discount from their newsletter but I wasn't wild about the overall page design.

Overall, I think their class offerings are really well done. There is a free class - The Fundamentals- that would give you a good feel for the quality of the classes. I subscribe to a newsletter and they occasionally have sales on the courses.

I actually am talking about the 12 week class. I don't the look of the layout either, but I thought I could learn something if I took the class. I have been taking their free courses and find them very informative. I have messed around until today trying to decide if I want to take the class. Now it's the last day to decide. I'm so bad about stuff like this. I think it's the spending money part that I have a hard time with, lol.

Thanks for your input Rochelle! You're always so good at giving wisdom!

Learn to make your own stuff? That is something I have never really wanted to do. It would be fun though in case I needed something and couldn't find it in my 4T EHD full of kits. hehe

Yes, the spending money part of things usually keeps me from doing things too. Darn it!! $64 isn't bad though if you learn enough. I might think about that for next time.

And I am definitely going to sign up for the newsletter and free classes. That is something I can get behind. Thanks!!

I broke down and purchased the class. I love learning new things and rather like the "I made it myself" feeling of pride. I am forever tweaking kit items to suit my needs for a page. Hoping the class will introduce me to features of PSE and PS CC that I haven't taken the time to explore or learn. Plus the thought of " looking forward" to the next lesson release seemed like positive mood booster I could benefit from at this time.

You'll have to let us all know what you think after the course :)

Do you have a link to info about this class?

These are the course listings. You can click on any of them to get more info. The Mastery 2 isn't showing as an option because it is now closed to enrollment until August once we finish the lessons. I think then it will be a self paced course without the Facebook group interaction. https://qwiklearn.teachable.com/courses

I did find a link via the weekly newsletter from the Digital Scrapper blog. The "enroll" button is showing but I am not sure if it will work.

I would have to be a really good class for me to spend that kind of money. I'll be interested to hear what others have to say about it.
