Anyone else enjoy wrapping paper??

I’m a little wrapping paper obsessed myself. This year it’s grays and blues, with some plaid and a little sparkle. But each year is different! I tell myself that this year I’m just going to use up the leftover papers from other years but then, bam! new papers in the store and I cave. 😂

OMG and I thought I was the only one with this impulse buying of wrapping paper. I already have enough Christmas paper to last for several years. But...I saw this really cute one this week and it was begging me to take it home.

Who am I to refuse? After all, it's Christmas, right? :)

Yes! Same way. I found this adorable paper at Target and the lights look like they shimmer so I had to get more rolls of next year...and next year I will find something else. LOL

Oh yes. I have a place in my house to store about 8 rolls, so that's my limit. But I love going out and getting coordinating sets. My mother grew up extremely poor, and she loved to make Christmas very special. She told me that when she was younger, she would spend so much time wrapping the gifts to make them look pretty, because what was inside the box wasn't very much. By the time my folks married and had kids, they were doing well. So our Christmas trees and gifts always looked like they came out of a catalog. Mom would work for weeks on transforming the house. Each present was coordinated (her colors were always soft greens and pinks), and topped with a wired bow that she hand-tied. Even though she's been gone for more than a decade, I still have a bag of her hand-tied bows that I will bring out to put on gifts.

My favorite wrapping paper actually comes from Hobby Lobby. I love that their paper is thick enough that you can read through it (in case the box is printed), and that it has a grid printed on the inside. It makes for much easier wrapping and less waste when it's time to cut the paper! :)

For small gifts, where 11x17 paper will do, I sometimes design custom wrapping paper from our kits and print those :)

Can we have enough wrapping paper at home??? Every year I find beautiful paper and then I have to buy it. With a large family and a large group of friends, I need different rolls of paper.

I do! Last year I found a bunch of paper with cute motifs that featured mostly red and grey - which are the colors I decorate with, so it was all matchy-matchy this year! LOL!
