Any interest in a weight loss support group?

Not sure if anyone might be interested, but just thought I would throw this out there. Back in 2007, I joined a competition called The Biggest Loser Digi-style, and it was a wonderful thing. We worked as teams and helped each other out, did scrapping challenges and exercise challenges, etc. It was a competition too, but if anyone here is interested in doing something like this, we can make it whatever we want. I just know that it's so much easier to lose weight and be successful in the long run when you have support and accountability. With that group, I started on the road to losing 80 pounds..... which unfortunately I have regained all of over the last few years. :( I got out of the habits that I had developed... and anyone who struggles with their weight knows that once you fall off the wagon, it can be really hard to get back on it. Today I finished the first day of Week 3 in the couch to 5K program, and I'm pretty happy about that, but I've got a long ways to go.

Anyone who is interested can either respond here or send me a pm. I hope to hear from you! :)

I'm happy to be here to support and give suggestions. At present, I'd like to drop just 3-4 lbs -as they creeped back on....grrr, but mostly maintain via exercise.
i lost 60 a few yrs back.

Alright...count me in!!! I need to "own" my weight...so once we get truly started, I will then (and only then) look at the scale!

(Three years of high school German....in California! What was I thinking/????)

I am hoping for some more people. I may put a request out at DST or check with the friends who participated with me before and see if there is any other interest too. The more the merrier, right? ;)

Jennifer, your 3 years in CA were probably more useful than my 4 years of German in Maine. LOL!

Well one year of basically no exercise and back surgery = gained way more weight than I should have! I'M IN!

I'd be happy to have some support. I'm like a yo-yo, up and down, up and down. Mostly up. My latest plan was supposed to be fool proof. Eat fresh, organic, nothing processed, nothing in a box. It was going so well. Both my husband and I initially lost almost 20 pounds right away. We were both feeling so good. Then he starts wanting to go to restaurants and eating junk food again.

I am so ready to this with more support.

OH MY!!! Sounds like me! My husband and I were doing Atkins for about a month...lost about 15 lbs and then - I had a craving for Mexican food and I never looked back! DANG IT!!!!!!!

Can TOTALLY relate to both of you! I have tried so many times in the past few years to get back on track. I'll be awesome for a while, and be feeling really great, and then I fall off the wagon. It's like the movie Groundhog Day. The cycle just keeps repeating itself. Every time it happens, I ask myself why I would want to go back to eating crap.... I feel SO much better when I'm not. It's such an addiction with food for me. I am a major stress eater, and I've had a lot of it the last few years with my divorce, etc..... but I am not helping myself at all by fueling my body with junk. Blah!

Anyone else? I sent pm's to all who responded with interest. I'm rounding up some other digi friends too. :) Looking to start up by June 1st. Let's get this party started! :)

Count me in --- I need to lose around 80 pounds so would welcome some buddies to help with weight loss and scrapping at the same time.

We're in the same boat then Debbie.. that's about how much I want to lose as well. Did it once... *sigh*. I'm going to start a fb group later today so I'll be sending you all invites to that. I've got at least 10 others that participated in the Biggest Loser Digi Style with me before.. I'm really excited to get this going! :)

Oh I just saw this thread today but I'm definitely interested! I've been halfheartedly trying to lose weight for a while now, but yesterday I got invited to be a bridesmaid so now seems like a good time to start with more of a plan!

I'm interested!! I lost 60 pounds 12 years ago and 35 when I had jaw surgery in 2009, but it's all crept back on :( I *think* I'm doing a Disneyland 10k in November (haven't quite committed yet! LOL) But definitely want to do the Disneyland 10k in January for my 50th birthday! I can use all the motivation I can get to get off my rear end!! :)

Tammy...my husband and I did the Tinkerbell 1/2 last year (when it was in January)...it was so much fun! I'm not a fan of "running" but I would definitely do the 10K (walking the entire way). That would be awesome if we could meet up sometime in DL (if we end up doing another one). A 10K is JUST right....especially for us to go back into the park later that day!

I wish I could get my husband to do the 10k with me! I'm not a runner either...I'm going to start training and hopefully will be able to mostly walk with a little bit of running. It would be awesome to meet up at DL!!

im interested - trying to lose weight - can only lose 8-10 pounds than i stall - so frustrating

I'm in = Not sure what I'm in for, however going to join in another weight-loss group in Sierra Vista, Arizona. I think this would be great, as I need to eliminate the weight!! If I must scrap it to see the difference in weight loss, then it must be helpful.......!!

Congrats 2u Dagi: what will be the baby's name? Know if it will be a girl or a boy? If it is a girl, name it Ginger, we sure could use some more Ginger in our diets: L.O.L.
