Hello all!!! I have been a digital scrapper since 2005/6, and started out making month pages for calendars, baby milestones, and siggies at Mommy forums. I always used 8x10, but somewhere along 206/7, I switched to 12x12 because it was easier. The papers and elements were sized to fit 12x12.

As a challenge a few years ago, I switched to 8x10 for a while and I had the hardest time getting my ratios and sizing right. How do YOU scrap 8x10 and have enough room for what you want to place on the page? It seems so SMALL of a canvas to work on.

I'm not any help because I scrap in 12x12 :)
I do usually get my books printed in 8x8 though, it keeps the cost down and everything is still totally visible.

After doing 12 x 12 for so long, I'm not sure I could go back to doing something smaller. It's funny saying that because when I changed to 12 x12 I thought I would never be able to fill all that space :). I guess you just adapt to whatever it is you're doing at the time.

I scrap 12x12. The calendars for the g’kiddo’s are 8.5 x11. For adult friends the calendars are 4x6.
i start with the base size I want then drag the 12x12 paper on top having it resize itself.
happy to show you some if you need.

12x12 and print at 12x12. I do other sizes for specific projects, but it is SO hard....

I scrap 8X8 and print 8X8. Ffor those that scrap 12x12 and print 8X8, is there a difference in quality to print from a larger format?

I have no idea!! I scrap 12x12 and print at 8x8. At one point, I decided maybe I should try 8x10 because then I could save on album costs by just putting the pages into sheet protectors in a binder, but I quickly realized I wasn't going to love that. Scrapping at 8x10 was super awkward to me and just didn't look as nice.

I started out 8x10 years ago but made the switch soon into scrapping. I recently did an 8x10 mini "book" of my daughters bean growing science project for her to turn in to her teacher. I imported 12x12 pocket page templates and sized them down to fit. I put a simple title across the top where there was empty space. It was a clean and easy look.

Back in the Creative Memories days I did 12x15 pages. Those are monsters compared to the 12x12 printed books I have done. Now I do 12x12, and the occasional 6x8 that I do for the grandkids. It is a lot harder on the smaller pages.

I've seen really gorgeous rectangle pages especially landscape orientation. I scrap 12x12 and just started printing 10x10. I think 8x8 is a bit small. I really like 10x10 best.
