2017 Scrapping Goal?

I try to make a scrapping goal every year. Some years it is number of pages; and other years it is project 52/365. This year I am setting out to get all of 2016 scrapped AND PRINTED!

I wondered if anyone else had scrapbooking goals year-to-year.

I do not really set goals but I really do want to finish pages about my very first big vacation when I started working way back when I was 17. then I want to scrap pages about the next major trip away and put those two lots of pages together to have printed into a book. And in between that this year I want to start working on pages about my childhood to eventually put together and get that printed.

I LOVE making scrappy goals! I'm not finished making mine yet for 2017 yet though. I should have them sorted out in a day or two.

I haven't really decided yet for this year, other than to finally print out a bunch of pages and sort them into albums for my boys. I've been buying print credits at Persnickety when they've been on sale for a while now, so I have enough to print about 300 12x12 pages. Woot! The tricky part is that I don't scrap chronologically at all, so I'm not quite sure how to deal with arranging the pages.

I did P52 last year for 2016, and I am super happy to only have about 12 pages left to do before getting them printed in a book. This was the first year that I started and actually will finish!

My goal(s)?! Finish project life 2015 & 2016. I've made a decent dent in 2016 since the end of December. Stay current with 2017 which I have managed to do. However, it's only January 9th. ☺

My only real scrapping goal for the upcoming year is to continue to complete at least 10 challenges here at GingerScraps every month. Not only are they fun, and some of them push me to develop my skills as an artist, but it's a nice treat to receive the reward kit, thanks to the generosity of the wonderful designers here!

It seems like a lot of us are wanting to print ours out this year.

I don't scrap chronologically either Lori. This year I am trying something new though. I save all my actually photos by year and then by month. To help with dating my scrapbook pages. So now I am saving my layouts as YEAR_MONTH_KEYWORD. That way they save chronologically; and I can print them that way. :-)

I am not sure I change my goal from year to year, lol. I try to scrap 365 pages each year. This way I know I am getting stuff done.

I want to get the photos on the computer organized.

Some me kind of off site backup set up.

i want to scrap my sons first year.

ive done project 52 for years now, I intend to keep going with it.

I'd like to make books for the kids finally! I have all their layouts on flash drives for them, but want to get some in print.

My goal is just to keep scrapping and not lose my mojo. Working full time has really set me back but it will not derail me. Keeping up with CT requirements will at least help me do a few pages a month if nothing else. We took SO many trips last year and I would love to get a book done from our biggest one. This summer we are camping three times, I am going to Hong Kong and my our family will go to Belize so I will have a billion photos for 2017! I guess my goal would be to NOT have a job next fall LOL!

I gave my friend an empty scrapbook for Christmas. I told her I would get pictures from her 3 kids, and her and her husband and scrap them each month. And of course do mine too!

I started doing that at the end of 2015 and it was LIFE CHANGING. Everything flows so much better now. I went back and renamed almost all of my older layouts too. That makes it a lot easier to figure out if I've already scrapped something. I name mine as "year-month-day-title" and for days I know I'll make a bunch of pages for, like trips, I name them "year-month-day-military time-title"

I printed a free 20 page book at shutterfly of my favourite book of me pages, and only had to pay shipping. Eight bucks for twenty pages.

I ordered my 2016 and 2015 December daily bound books too. Just waiting to receive them.

This is sounds like a great idea. I've double scrapped the same thing more than once not remembering I'd already done it.

Yes, me too! It's hard to remember everything you've scrapped, especially if you don't print regularly or if you don't look back at your old pages much. I think I've scrapped how I met my husband at least three times, lol.

My goals??? hmmm, finish my Daughter's book since she will be graduating next year. I'm way behind. I'm still working on her preschool book. I did do a quick book for her preschool teachers when they retired, but didn't copy the pages. :(
We went to Hawaii as a 2nd honeymoon for our 25th wedding anniversary, so I guess it would be nice to finish that & have that printed in time for my DH's birthday in June. Maybe try project life.

I have not scrapped in a few years and just started back up in Feb. Not sure why, but started learning "digi" and love it. I am empty nesting and having to learn how to keep myself busy these days. Both my boys are now out of the nest and my hubby travels for work. So scrapbooking at night has been my saving grace. My goal is to complete 2- major vacations and get my youngest sons Basic Training and AIT photos scrapped and both of my boys graduation photos done. I'd like to do a total of 100 layouts before years end #2017

How is everyone doing on their goals? I don't think I actually got around to making any, LOL. Which is a good thing because I think this has been my slowest scrapping year since I started in 2010. Seven year scrap itch?

So, second half of the year scrappy goals....

Contribute five Project Life pages to my friend's PL class this fall. (And actually finish the class too)
Make 30 pages from this summer.
PRINT!!!!!!!!
Complete at least one scrappy class a month. (I keep buying them and not finishing them)
Get challenge rewards for the rest of the year.
Use my stash more.
Make 5-10 pages for Christmas in July
Make 50 holiday pages during the holidays (I know I won't make this one, but I had a blast trying last year, so I'm going for it)

Those are some lofty goals, but why not aim high?
