12/29/2015 RQOTD is your christmas tree still up?We didn't have one so no

No, we have a real tree so it came down yesterday - I usually wait until New Year's Day but we had to get it a bit earlier than usual this year so it was getting too dry for my liking.
 
Ours should probably be coming down this weekend... If I can sweet talk my Dad into bringing the boxes out of our storage unit for me! ;)
 
I took mine down today. I used to leave it up longer since I enjoy it so much, however, then I went and had a daughter on December 30th and realized that it would be better if her birthday weren't BirthMas. I know so many people who have bdays near a holiday and always feel like they get the short end of the stick - like 1 gift for both holidays or no one even celebrating their birthday with them since they are off doing holiday events. I try real hard to separate the 2. So, now, I try to get the tree and most the decorations down by the 29th.

I know what you mean! I my best friend's daughter is the 29th and I have a cousin who is the 24th (not much can be done about that as far as the tree/decorations go) but my friend always has her Christmas stuff down by the 28th for the same reason.

You're such a thoughtful mom, Meagan! My birthday is January 18th...too close to Christmas! My sister's is January 19th (2 years later). We always shared a birthday...so not fun!
 
Our tree and decos usually come down around January 2nd, but this year we're going to take it down tomorrow so we start the New Year fresh.
 
Yep. We'll take ours down Friday or Saturday. I always leave it up until New Years. One terrible year I left the tree up until July. I don't know how that happened.
 
Took mine all down on the 27th!!! Wanted my living room back and to be honest, the tree wasn't taking water so I knew something was wrong. Turns out, the hole in the bottom had sealed back up so it wasn't drinking properly. I was afraid it would dry too quick, so we just took it down. It's now standing in the yard and green as can be!! LOL.
 
Yes; I feel like I just finished decorating everything and have the house looking just the way I want it to at the holidays...and now it's time to take it all down. I'll probably wait until Monday when the kids go back to school.
 
Down the day after Christmas. Not sure I'll bother with a big one next year. I used to LOVE to decorate it - now it just seems like work and it never looks like I wish it did! I would completely hire someone to do decorate it!
 
Well, I had planned on taking it down today, but it didn't happen. I think we'll wait til Saturday :)
 
Update: Mine still up. I told my husband that the 6th was the last "normal" day to have the thing up and we HAD to get it down. But he didn't go get the boxes so... I didn't start taking it down.
 
Still up. No one in a rush to take it down. We've all joked about leaving it up as an all-year-long thing.

We're joking about that...I think.
 
Still up, the tree comes up only on Christmas Eve, it should come down on 6th, but we always wait until the birthday of my son mid January.
 
This post caught my eye cuz we just took ours down tonight! Don't judge... we've been sick! Usually we take it down 1/1.
 
We were sick last week too. ours is still up! We don't have a set date for set up or down cause that would mean a schedule and I just don't do that :)
 
Yes, still up. Minnesota can be so gloomy this time of year, I love the lights. Usually take down Epiphany. I'll start working on it this week
 
We took it down Sunday the 10th. I couldn't believe how quick it went. It was the first year with our new artificial tree. I think it took 45 minutes is all, max. And the tree fit back into the box it came in without incident.
