12/21/2015 RQOTD Do you have a nickname?

My husband calls me puppy or pups or pj. Basically when his brother was seven, and holding his dog, his brother said something like his puppy was better than I was, and then hubby started calling me puppy. It just stuck. Do you have a nickname?
 
My husband calls me "love" but otherwise my nickname has evolved into my name. Trace. Close friends and family used to be the only people who called me that until I hit Grade 5. There were 5 Tracys in the class. So my teacher started calling me "trace" just to keep us all straight. It stuck and I've been Trace ever since.

My dad used to call me "missy". He was the only one who ever did. I was never Tracy or Trace to him...always Missy. Nobody's called me that since he passed away in 96. I miss it.
 
I don't have a nickname, really. But my daughter called me Mimi instead of mommy when she was learning to talk and she still does sometimes. And I call her Boo :).
 
The girls that I teach call me Stuffy. It started as a joke because at camp once summer when I got sick and then they realized if you combined my fist name (Stephanie with my last name Duffy it makes Stuffy) and now it's just kinda stuck.)

Otherwise most people call me Steph, Stephie, or Duffy.
 
Oh I love nicknames and seeing how other people's came about.
My name is La'Shawn & my husband has called me Shawn Bear since we first started dating 12 years ago. My mom has called me ladybug since birth & I have called my son Bug since birth.

We love nicknames. :-)

OMG..when we first started fostering to adopt Isis, my DH started calling her Boo because she looked like boo from Monsters inc. He still calls her that. Lol.
 
I started calling my oldest Monkey when he was about 9 months old and was learning to pull himself up on things and that's still his nickname. My youngest was nicknamed Monster at birth because he growls in his sleep!! :)
