10/29/2015-RQOTD When you scrap do you mix kits?

When making a layout do you mix kits, or do you use whatever is just in one kit? I tend to mix and match things when I am scrapping for myself or for a challenge. Sometimes I find that a kit is missing something and I will need a piece from another kit to make my page complete. As I mentioned in an earlier RQOTD, it drives me batty when someone has great flowers but no leaves. So I sometimes have to grab those from another kit. What about you?
 
I would really like to mix kits more, but I rarely do. Sometimes I'll bring in an alpha if a kit doesn't have one.
 
Never, my brain would explode!

However, I do have a folder of "scrapbooking essentials" that has miscellaneous things like staples, brads, strings, clipping masks for shapes, alphas, borders, etc. that I keep open when I scrap just in case a kit doesn't have that little something I need.
 
I mix kits all the time. I tag all of my stuff and when I do a page, I search the theme. If I have a kit that fits and has all the elements I want/need, great. Otherwise, I pull from whatever works.

Oh that's a fantastic idea. I think I'm going to start doing that!
 
I love mixing kits when I'm not working on CT LOs! I would do a lot more of it if I was better organized (as I mentioned on another thread). hehe
 
I love mixing kits when not for CTing. One of my favourite challenges to do is to mix two very opposite kits and use them . Like a Christmas kit with a Spring or Easter kit. It's so fun to try to fit stuff together. :)
 
I LOVE to mix!!! [my biggest mix was 28 designers,... but that was a challenge long ago]

I do not mix for CT'ing though when I promote.
