Sorry for the late post. My brother In law is visiting and hubby and he have decided to some projects around the house. Sadly they are not handy at all. The toilet and sink have been leaking all day long. Yay! I think we will need to call a plumber. So my question for you is are you a do it yourselfer?

Yep, I'm pretty handy. My dad was a do-it-yourselfer so I learned things growing up and then having a husband in the military and deployed often on long deployments you learn to become self sufficient and of course it's handy now that it's just me and my daughter!

Yep I am constantly fixing things in my house. Put in new guts into my toilet, fixed my leaking sink pipes in the boys bathroom. I have painted almost all the rooms in my house by myself. So yeah I am pretty handy!

I am very handy! I love DIY projects. I have refinished hardwood floors (all the way from belt sanding to varnishing), hung dry wall, done electrical and plumbing ...just to name a few! :)
My hubby isn't really very handy, well at least he doesn't enjoy doing DIY projects. So, instead of getting mad, I just do it myself. When we were shopping for a house, I was looking at the plumbing, our agent turns to me and says, "So, you're the man." LOL! We've used that quote ever since!

I can paint and do small jobs like change a plug and cover or fix my dryer/washer (with the help of youtube!) Chris and I painted our entire house to sell it ourselves.

Chris is amazingly handy. Has been his entire life. He can roof, fix about anything, does renovations, builds fences, rewires lamps etc etc etc. It amazes me the stuff he knows how to do but I shouldn't be surprised, he helped his dad reshingle the cottage roof and build a deck when he was 10. The only thing Chris doesn't do is fix cars. He leaves that to the pros.

Nope. Not handy. I could have been. My dad was a real do-it-yourself guy for most of his life. Finished the basement, built a redwood deck, etc. My husband CAN do a lot of stuff, but doesn't like to. His dad was not just a do it yourself guy, he was a builder and had a masters degree and taught building at a community college. He built his own house from scratch!

I am only handy when I need to be (just replaced the lock in our door). We do a lot of YouTubing at my house to find out how to fix stuff. Boy, that must be making a dent in the earnings of handymen!
