Journaling:
It’s kind of different when you live in a place that other people see as a vacation destination. We got to experience that firsthand when Shelley, Erika and Adam came to visit us in Fiji in January, 2019. We met them in Nadi - Shelley arrived from Canada and Erika and Adam came from Australia where Adam was going to school. We started the week at the all-inclusive Naviti Resort on the Coral Coast, enjoying the beaches and the pools and sun. It was a relaxing time with lots to do and the bonus of not having to worry about nickel and dime costs adding up at the end of the stay. From there we went to the Uprising Eco-resort where we had our own bures and a much more rustic experience. The resort was beautiful and the Pacific Harbour Arts Village across the road was an interesting place to visit for sightseeing and a bit of shopping. We also had a fun day of ziplining partway between Naviti and Uprising.
From the Uprising we took a short trip into Suva to see the capital and to visit the house we were living in at the time. Our final few days were spent at a five-star resort on Denarau Island - The Sofitel. There we enjoyed beautiful views, excellent restaurants and service that made us feel more than special. It was fun to show family around the places we frequented on a regular basis and really neat to experience three types of resorts in quick succession, each having something different to offer and each unique to the experience of visiting Fiji.
What a wonderful collection of beautiful photos! Fiji looks so amazing! I must visit sometime! Love the fun tilt to your mutiple frame collection! Lovely sandy beaches and beautiful flowers too! Thanks so much for sharing!
It must be amazing to have the opportunity to live in paradise. I liked hearing about the experiences that you had at the different resorts. This is such a wonderful layout, I love that you included a number of different pictures and had a heavy emphasis on journaling.
