Dinner with oldest grandson Aiden and fiancee Clare was at Aiden’s favourite Melbourne pub, The Sherlock Holmes. It was a quirky venue having only a doorway width street frontage, with steep stairs down to the underground bar and restaurant. Because the decor was so British inspired, I felt I simply must order roast beef with Yorkshire pudding followed by Eccles cake, custard and icecream. It was such a fun evening...2026/05.

OH LOOK AT THAT ROAST DINNER!!!! Pudding too! Super cluster of photos, love your Sherlock Holmes hat and cluster, journalling too, with a copy for my old eyes to read! I can almost taste that dinner!

That sounds like a very interesting place to get to dine. I love that you chose to eat a meal that is inspired by the British theme. And the story about the steep stairs, that is such a good illustration to help the viewer picture the inside of the venue.
