Hi all! I hope you all had a great Christmas! I had an awesome time with my family in Ohio, and got to spend plenty of time with the grandkids. Hubby took plenty of candid pictures, and we had a family photoshoot, so there will be plenty of layouts coming soon! We got home yesterday, and I'm feeling the usual letdown I feel after a vacation. On the way home, I started writing a 10-page paper that's due tomorrow. I'm on page 8 and am going to quit for the day as I have been writing for over 4 hours.

Karen, I'm glad you will get to have hubby home and that he will get medicine for pain relief. That's good news. Thanks for updating us! I will continue prayers. :)

I know - I'm almost never chatty here at GS. But I just uploaded a layout to the gallery & saw that there are now galleries for next year's challenges. Looks like we will be seeing some new challenges - FUN! Also, I saw a fantastic thing that made my heart sing! Someone seems to be returning. :dancelaugh:

Kids and I played games Christmas Day, had a nice meal.
yesterday the tv died. I have to laugh ironically as we have a history of major replacements right after Christmas like hot water heater, dishwasher, washing machine, over the years, and now tv.

At least it was after Christmas. Our fridge broke down 5 days before Christmas. The new one will be delivered Jan 13. Not fun during Christmas, but we decided to be grateful it happened now, and not in July. At least we can store the food in plastic containers out in the shed since it's winter. We're pretending we're living in the 17th century. LOL

My sprained wrist is still struggling, so I'm not doing any scrapping. Once it has healed, I have tons of pictures. I have read up to date, but am not really up to commenting much.

My husband took me to the stage show "Christmas Carol" on the Saturday before Christmas. By the time I got home, I had developed a dreadful cough. So - I have a bruised and battered face, a sprained wrist, and this horrible cough that won't quit. I feel so tired and run down and very sorry for myself.

However, I had a lovely Christmas :)

Hello, all! Randy and I had a whirlwind of a Disney vacation in mid-December. The weather was perfect and we had a blast. We walked more than 60 miles in four and a half days, and I was feeling it when we returned. Ha. When we got home, we both came down with that oh so trendy cold. Randy got over his, but mine developed into a full fledged sinus infection. I've spent most of the last week sleeping, and we cancelled ALL of our Christmas plans with friends, family, and coworkers. As of now, I have no idea what day it is, where I'm supposed to be, what deadlines are looming, etc. Today is my first day back in the office, and I don't think I'm going to make it the full day. My body is telling me to go back to bed. But as I look around the office, there only seems to be two other people here... so hopefully that means all of our standing meetings for Monday mornings are cancelled.

Hope everyone is doing well and has a very Happy New Year!
