Ideal Upzip on your Downloads

What would be your ideal 'download and unzip' arrangement when you execute a purchase and does that ever affect your purchases?

I would like to download all Ellies to one folder, papers to one folder, etc.
I would like upper, lower and punctuation in a single alpha folder
I would like the main preview picture of the items in the folder to be named folder.jpg
I would like the fonts that were used in the alphas and word art to be included in the folder.

I am sure there is a good reason for downloading multiple folder of ellies and papers, etc., but in your dream world, what would it be?

I prefer elements and papers all open into the same folder. Alphas get their own. I agree that the preview should be named folder.

The only thing I hate is after unzipping, that everything just dumps out all over the place because it wasn't even in a folder when zipped. Otherwise, I just arrange things to my preferences. I know with file size download limits, many times elements and papers need to be split into multiple folders.

As long as it is in a 'perfect scenario': I would like the kit to all be unzipped into a single folder in said designers folder and as long as we are at it....the entire kit was tagged in bridge for easier finding on my hard drive.

A gal can dream...♥

Ideally - all papers, elements and extras to be open in the same folder. Alphas I put into a folder within the kit folder and I also prefer all upper, lower, numerals and punctuation to be open in the same folder. Lol, I seem to be in a minority, but I dislike it when the previews are just named "folder" :P I put copies of them all into a separate folder so I can look through it to decide what kit I should use.

I prefer all the papers and elements in one folder with the Alpha separate in the same folder and i file by designer. I too dislike when the folder is just named folder; I would prefer to have it named whatever is in that folder. ie: elements, paper

Interesting feedback from you all!
Just speaking on the backend, the reason we break the elements and papers into separate folders is because we have to be thoughtful of everyone's download capabilities. Some people have slowed connections and if a folder is too large it will time out and they can't get the zips to ever full download.

I have a system when I am organizing the collab folders/zips, I try to make it to work for the majority. Hopefully more people do like it :)

Makes total sense and I get the reasons. I sure like my 'unzip and it's tagged'...

After I unzip I create a folder named with the designers name and the name of the kit. then into that folder I name a folder with the kit name and "E" for elements ; a folder with kit name and "A" for alpha and a folder with kit name and "P" for papers. so then the respective items go into each folder.
I make sure I have a JPEG image preview of the kit and the one for the papers. I use the kit preview jpeg to create a "ico" image to make as the image for the completed folder that goes into that designers folder within the "Ginger Scraps" folder.

Like others I do not like preview images named just "folder" that some designers do.

i think the reason we like 'folder.jpg' is because in the 'view' preview you can see the kit, of course it may not be that way on all computers, but it is lovely to be able to see the kit and colours from the view screen.

It would be very helpful to have something with the number of downloads we will have. I always have to count to make sure I have not missed one.

I think it does work well, for the most part. I do know that there are designers whose unzips work much better than others for me. For example, the GS downloads are lovely :)
