I had three granddaughters and my precious Grandson was born in 2014. These are all the one family. My one and only daughter always said she wanted to have 5 children and after having a very busy little boy they got a dog and I asked her " Is Chica your 5th child " and her reply was " possibly yes".

Lovely idea having a Grannie Group! I only have one 8yo grand-daughter and she is the light of our lives. We have 2 sons but still only one grandie! Last week we attended her school dance during the day when her parents can't make it, she is always so happy that we can attend. I scrap a book every year for her with activities we as grand-parents do together and the plan is to give them to her when she graduates from high-school. Can't wait to hear all about all your grandies.

Karen, how special that you are able to attend your granddaughter's special events. I am sure she going to love the albums you are putting together. I am starting to work on pages about my childhood to print into an album so my grandchildren can learn a little about my growing up years as I do not really get an chance to talk much to them about that.

Jill, looking at the photo I am trying to work out which are the twins and do they come from the same parents?

Lynnie, thankyou for sharing these lovely pages. I hope all goes well with the birth of the two new grandchildren.

The twins are the girls side by side in the maroon dress and mustard check dress, these girls belong to our younger daughter and they are standing next to their older sister. The boy twins are second from the left and last on the right, they are the sons of our only son and their big brother is the one first on the left...the two boys wearing beards are our oldest grandkids and are the sons of our older daughter.....so three families of grandchildren and none of them have mixed sex kids, you would think when twins were coming they could have mixed up the genders:)

Thankyou Jill for sharing this information. That is a really nice photo as they all have such friendly smiles. Not easy to capture 8 people and they all look okay.

That's a great idea, Anna-Marie, I lost my grandmother a few years back but she was actually the inspiration for me to start scrapbooking. Traditional at first, I wanted to make her a scrapbook of her life for her 75th birthday as a surprise. When I visited Grandma we took out the old photos and she would tell me about her days past and then I would sneak a few in my bag to copy. The end product was a book full of her memories and she was so happy to have. For the next few years we did more photos together and since her passing to Alzheimer's I have her book of treasures complete with all her stories. She left me with the greatest treasure of all.

I adore your painted photo you have as your pic...what treatment did you use, if I may ask?

Karen, how lovely to have all those memories of your grandmother and special the way you shared the information with her before her mind could not share with you. I am presently doing studies in Dementia.
The Dog photo on my page was altered using a set of filters called "Topaz" I purchased and installed in my Photoshop CS6. I think I bought it when it was a lot cheaper than what it is now.

What fun! I love scrapping my littles. Plus sewing and crocheting for them.

For my mum's 90th, I created a book of her life and a slideshow of her pictures. I am so glad I did, because when they are gone, the stories go with them. I feel so blessed that I got our family stories from my granddad also. We have a treasure trove of family stories. My children love hearing my mum talk about when she was little (she still is - she is not quite 4ft 10). I am going to write my own stories to pass along to my children and grandchildren.

This is my mother with two of her grandchildren, me and husband, David (or Rand, depending on who I am talking to!):

I am so much enjoying seeing all the pages being shared in this thread.. wish I had more time so I could comment on each one but I will try and visit the galleries if you have linked your pages.

I didn't link the last ones out of respect for your time! I can overshare the number of layouts - I am just so proud of my family (as we all are!)

When my daughter married her husband, he had a son that gave me the name Nana. He has since been joined by a sister and brother, and my son has blessed me with a grandson too. I have four kids and four grandkids. How blessed am I! Here is a page I did recently of my grandson that lives here in Utah so I get to see him weekly. My other three live in AZ so I don't get to snuggle them as much.

This is fabulous, Heidi. I might have to steal it for my grandson's month pictures (Month 1, Month 2, etc.)

Steal away. It was fun going through the thousands of pictures to fill this page. I'm working on one for my other grandson now that I have a years worth of pictures from my daughter. That is the hard part when they are so far away.

Finished my Survivor Week 3 with a picture of my daughter-in-law who is scheduled to deliver a grandchild in August:

My son and BEAUTIFUL daughter in law (see layout above!) have closed escrow on their house. They get the keys on Monday! It has been a long haul, going through escrow, but they signed the final papers on Friday and they are painting over this weekend, picking up their keys officially Monday and moving in next weekend. The previous owner lives next door and is letting them in to paint. They are so thrilled. Then they have a baby coming in August.

I can't believe I never posted this when I did it. I just uploaded to my gallery... The kids announced their addition to the family in a gift. I can't believe they pulled it off. It was addressed to me and my husband and was wrapped in layers and layers of boxes and wrapping. We passed it back and forth, unwrapping as we went. My husband opened the last box, seeing it was a Christmas Ornament. He did not realize the significance until my screech brought down the house! It was the cutest baby announcement EVER!

Having said that, we are doing a gender reveal party. Naturally, I had to scrap the invitation (there is also a facebook event and I did a header page for that also!)

What a cute way to announce the arrival. My kids get a family ornament made every Christmas since my Emily was born...so cute to see their tree now that she is 8yrs old.

We have done the same for the kids. Now they are as old as they are, our tree is QUITE full.

The deed was recorded, so the house is now theirs. I can't wait to see it. What a thrill! My daughter texted to let us know she is moving in with them at the weekend. We knew she was moving in, but not quite as quickly! She is getting back from Mexico tomorrow and leaving for Las Vegas next week. Crazy schedule this lassie keeps. Her dog lives her life between Karen and this amazing ranch that keeps dogs with owners who have long-term absences. Geisha knows Karen is coming back, so she doesn't get anxiety and loves her life at the Ranch.

Getting ready to visit the grandkids in England soon. I can't wait. This time next month, we will be in England.

Lynne, how exciting that you will be visiting your family overseas. How long since you have seen them in person?
