What is everyone eating for Thanksgiving?

I wasn't going to cook the traditional Thanksgiving meal because the family will be scattered, BUT.....My husband won't have it....so for us it will be; Ham, dressing (stove top..lol) sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, corn dressing and rolls. Not sure about dessert since I have a type 1 diabetic.

Oh, those sound yummy, but not at all what we make. Isn't that interesting? We have turkey, rolls (usually crescent), cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, herbed broccoli (with herbs and tomatoes), salad (sometimes), and 2-3 pies. I make the pies and cranberry sauce, and help hubby with the others as needed.

I'll bet there are all sorts of diabetic-friendly desserts out there- have you tried searching at recipe websites?

YUM!! I'm getting hungry already!

We are also having traditional goodies- turkey, mashed potatoes, etc...
But I'm also going to make tri tip, maybe with bacon on top?! mmm.!!

We are going to try the Bob Evans Premium Feast this year and see how that goes. It will save a lot of stress (hopefully).

Sounds amazing....I love broccoli...how do you make the herbed broccoli?

When we do have Thanksgiving (the last several years we have gone to a soccer tournament over Thanksgiving) we do the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, peas, frog eye salad and rolls. The usual stuff.

I too want to know about the herbed brocolli. That sounds yummy.

We have a very traditional Thanksgiving. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn casserole, green beans (fresh).
I agree herbed broccoli sounds yummy.

We had an early Thanksgiving at my sisters because that was the day all the grandchildren were there. For my immediate family, I'm going to roast a chicken instead of turkey. Everyone likes that better anyway.

On Thursday we have the traditional turkey and fixings. On Saturday my family has something we call MUCUTHSA - Multi Cultural Thanksgiving Saturday. Our menus have been from Italy, France, Scandinavia, Polynesia, Greece, Japan, Jamaica, and this year Ireland! We have so much fun coming up with recipes and trying traditional foods (and beverages!) So if anyone has any yummy Irish recipes to share TIA!! And happy thanksgiving... and for those who don’t celebrate — happy Thursday!!
