Are you ever afraid to post in the forum?

Let's start a Daily Chatter Thread in the Everyday Chatter forum and keep it going. At DSP one time we broke the forums with a million chat thread. They had to archive us after that. It was a big deal. haha. I will start it.

I'm often hesitant to post anything online or in emails, etc., because I'm usually quiet online in general. My personality doesn't always translate well online and I'm often misunderstood. I'm very to-the-point and most people consider that rude online, even though I definitely don't mean it to be.

I completely hate social media and use it for my business only and consider it a necessary evil for that reason. I miss the active forums of old, because I feel like forums normally attract a different type of person. They're not as readily available as Facebook, Instagram, etc - you have to make a special trip to a specific forum to view it. It's not condensed into one feed where you browse it for 5 mins, click a few likes, and you're done. You have to slow down to read a forum and I like that aspect, even if I'm not always chatty.

I, too, hate the bullying I see on social media and have been a victim of it myself. People are shocking about how they behave online and they cross so many lines... it's just depressing. I've always loved Gingerscraps because it was my first digiscrap home many, many years ago and it's always friendly here.

I am not to-the-point, I am a gentle meandering soul in real life and my personality often does not translate well in emails at work or posts online. I work really hard at it. We just need to learn to be more tolerant and stop the bullies from getting hold of the world in general.
