Sad to be sidelined

I'm so very sad to have had to drop out of Survivor and basically drop out of digi-scrapping for the last week plus a few more days. There is something going on with my feet and I can't be at the computer for more than a minute before they start to throb and cause unbearable pain. Today, after more tests than I thought possible, the doctor told me to park it on the couch and elevate and ice until the results come in. I never knew feet could swell this badly and hurt this much.
In the meantime I will check out the gallery on my phone while watching crap on TV.

Aww, I'm so sorry, and I hope you get some helpful news from the test results so they can start to work on healing whatever is wrong with your feet. Could you possibly borrow a laptop from someone while you're on sofa-rest?

I'm so sorry, Heidi! I hope you are feeling better and back to scrapping soon.

Sorry you have to go through this. I hope you find answers soon. I know what it is like to be in chronic pain and it is NO FUN! Prayers headed your way!

Awwww.... so sad! You need a laptop! It makes issues like this more bearable! Hope you feel better soon!!

Oh no! Heidi! I sure hope they find out what is causing the problem. Thinking of you. Prayers for a diagnosis and quick recovery.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, hugs and prayers. I'm getting better, slowly. The swelling has gone down to nearly normal but the pain in the left ankle is still there off and on most days. Not sure what it is but I know it isn't broken. Some think it is arthritis. It does feel better when I take Advil. The right ankle/foot/heel is a partially torn achilles tendon. So all in all I am getting better. I can at least do my job now instead of being a couch potato with an ice pack at my feet. My boss is happy about that. Me? Not so much. :)

How are you doing, now, Heidi?

Thanks you all. Getting better but probably won't be back to my "normal" computer scrapping time for quite some time. The swelling and pain have gone away unless I sit or stand for more than a hour at a time. So I have learned to just pace when standing and get up and walk around when I have to sit for extended periods of time. This "coping" mechanism only works for so long though and then I forget when I am sitting here working on a layout and then the next morning I can barely walk again and we start all over with the ice, medicine and couch potato-ness. Ugggg.
