Where would you live?

Me? I would be on a semi deserted island in the warmth and sun. Living in a tiny house on the beach with a lanai with a hammock on it to nap in. I'd have a small garden where I'd grow veggies and fruits and then take them into town to sell. :) I would fish and crab and find scallops to eat.

The house would have only enough room for me and the family. Guests would stay in a little shed behind the house with one bedroom. (perfect for visiting but not crowding)

I, of course, will have to have internet. Other than that, I'd be in paradise.

I'm not exactly sure! Hubby and I thought Colorado would be our retirement place, but we are so conflicted with spending the rest of our lives here. I really enjoyed living in the south. So I guess we'd lived near Fort Benning, GA (Columbus) and be back at our old church. Of course, because of the heat and humidity, we'd have to have an efficient home that can cool the house all year long as well as have no holes to the house so that the cockroaches can't get in the house. I would need some land, but not a lot--enough that I don't have to worry about a neighbor seeing in my windows because our houses are super close!

Really I have no idea where I would like to call home. Being a military family, we've moved so much that I don't know if we can settle down and grow roots somewhere with us being used to moving every 2.5 years.

New Zealand! Because I love Lord of the Rings. And we never hear anything about New Zealand, so I think that's probably a good thing. :)

I don't know where, but out of California! DH & I have never lived anywhere else.
I think I want to live in the country or in a small town-somewhere not crowded. I would prefer somewhere that doesn't get too hot, but if the house has A/C, I could deal with the heat.
My dream is to take an RV trip for about a year and travel around the country to see where we would like to live.
I've considered WA, but DH doesn't like cloudy, rainy weather. I've considered ID, but I've never lived where it snows. I don't really care for the humidity of the South.
Ugh!! I'll probably end up living in CA the rest of my life :P

LOL, you want out of California and I was thinking I might want in ;). Although the crowds and traffic would drive me crazy, I'd love to live near the ocean and enjoy your perfect weather.

That's the dream... LOL! Living near the ocean is extremely pricey...and right on the beach is outlandish (think millions)!! Even 2bd-1ba starter homes in my mom's neighborhood (which isn't really a nice neighborhood) are $400k. Where we would like to buy (not fancy, but bigger lots) starts at $850k. It's insane!!

I really really want a house overlooking a lake. Living here in Seattle I might just get that one day...Though those houses are WAY more than my budget could afford.....

I haven't lived anywhere else except in CA. Well, except for the first two years of my life in the Philippines, lol.
I honestly love it here. The weather is great, and where we are located, we live about an hour from the beach and during winter about 4 hours from the snow.

Honestly, it would be very hard for me to find a better paradise than I am already living in. Take away the horrific traffic and our peaceful home would be perfect again!
