We pretty much straighten it up, but don't necessarily make it every day. I know some people do, like my mom. I was just wondering about the rest of you.

Nope. I usually just straighten it up as well. Only make it when I put clean bedding on.
My grandmother would woop me if she knew. :-) She raised me & cannot seem to sleep in a bed unless it has been made completely first. :)

Yes, I do too - I can't stand to see it messy once I'm up for the day and I'm afraid if it isn't made I'll want to crawl back in instead of work! :D

Kim I read that same article! (And sent it to my mom because she is ALWAYS yelling at me for refusing to make my bed!)
I have never made it. I, personally, do not see the point in wasting the time to make it when I spend so much time messing it up again! (My bed is also my "work area" as well as where I read, and spend a lot of my "down time"

Not EVERY day, but I try to go through the house and make everyone's bed {which means I make 4 of them a day}. It's nice when the rooms are tidied up and the beds are made. I worry more about things being CLEAN, i.e. the toilets, sinks, dishes, laundry, and carpets as opposed to the beds being made and all the toys picked up.

I read that article too and it finally allowed me to let go of my guilt from not making it most of the time! I always thought ALL grown ups made their bed.... so I must not be grown up yet! My mother is the definition of an OCD housekeeper. Her home looks like a model home that nobody lives in. She always makes her bed perfectly and is appalled that I never do.

Never make mine. Straighten out the sheet and blankets as I go to bed. But often we put our 5 yr old to bed in our bed or he would never fall asleep in the room he shares with the 11 yr old. So he would just mess it up again before I got in if I did make it.

As I get out of bed in the morning I am making it. Almost like one fluid motion.... Feet hit floor, bed is made

Yeah, I think it annoys my husband to some degree that I don't make the bed but then again if it annoyed him enough he could always make it since he is the last one out of it in the morning! :D

We make our bed in the evening, so it's ready to go when we are tired and want to go to bed, but unless we are having guests, we don't make it up in the day. As someone else mentioned, it's actually a little healthier to leave it open to air out :). But we're really just not morning bed makers.

That's an interesting article, Kim! Definitely helpful for letting go of guilt ;)

We just pull the bedding up in the morning. Hubby's desk is in our bedroom, so it's nicer for him to work when the bed at least looks decent. We don't have any throw pillows or anything else frou-frou on it, so it's pretty easy.

My husband makes his half...I don't make mine. It's just another example of how we "work" together LOL! He likes it made everyday but I like to hang out on or in my bed often so it just doesn't make sense to me. Plus, there's a little bit of rebellious child in me (Yes I am 43 now) that likes it unmade because it make my mother crazy ha ha ha ha!
