What Are You WATCHING? ☀️ {SUMMER 2026} June, July & August

Hubby and I have enjoyed the Disney behind-the-scenes documentaries for the parks and the cruise ships. It's just fascinating the thought that goes into every project, and the army of people to bring a project to completion. I'd recommend the "Behind the Attraction" series.

I'm currently counting down the days until my next trip! We are going in February 2027 for my 50th birthday!! A big group of us this time, my kids, grandkids, my sister's kids and her grand kids. It's going to be so fun!!!

Oh how fun!!!! Which park are you going to? Are you planning to do anything special to commemorate your milestone birthday? I'm taking Randy to Disneyland on his birthday (July 17). I've ordered us matching kakamora shirts (the coconut people from the Moana movie), and I've decorated a couple of the buttons with paint pens and gemstones for him to wear. I TRIED to get us a couple of tours, but wasn't quick enough to secure the tickets. I'm sure we'll do some fun photo shoots, and I will get him any Lightning Lane he desires! Ha!!!!

Since Amazon Prime Days had a great sale on PBS Masterpiece and BritBox, (2 months for 99¢ each!), I have taken a break from "ER" and am now watching "All Creatures Great and Small", based on the life of James Herriot, a British vet. This was a book series I read more than once as a teen and young adult and am loving the series too. I will probably also rewatch the series "Poldark" since I loved it when I watched it several years back.

I haven't decided what else I will watch yet. Do any of you have any good British/PBS shows that you love?
I have watched through Downton Abbey a couple of times and also Call the Midwife.

Have any of you watched Voicemails For Isabelle?
Jill leaves voice messages to her deceased sister telling her about her chaotic life in San Francisco. Unwittingly, a mysterious Austin real estate agent begins to receive their confessions.

This one absolutely wrecked me. I was in full-on ugly-cry mode more than once! But beneath all the heartbreak is a beautiful love story, and the ending was so touching and satisfying. It left me smiling through my tears. 🥹

If you don't mind an emotional roller coaster, I highly recommend it. ❤️

I saw that when I opened Netflix last night & was interested. Glad to hear it was good - I'll have to put it on today!

I haven't been watching anything really lately which is kind of weird for me. I've mostly been listening to music or an audiobook.

I need something new to binge ... desperately. I keep wanting to binge Breaking Bad, but I put off watching it for some reason.

I was going to rewatch ER while waiting for the new season of The Pitt --- but that is a lot of seasons.

I just can't find something I connect with. I need to watch something other than the "reality shows" my husband is watching. I need something for me to enjoy.

I like Sci-Fi, Suspense .... nothing scary or maybe a good mystery or something like that. Nothing jumps out at me when I am searching for something to watch.

I wonder if anyone else is on letterbox? I've documented some of the movies I've watched, but there are many I've watched more than once, so I haven't documented them. Last year I watched over 1,000 movies, but they're still in my google calendar and I haven't registered them on Letterbox, you see I lost my old profile (actually, I lost an email address and couldn't recover my old profile), so I have them registered in google calendar to transfer them to my new letterbox profile, but I haven't had the time, if someone else is on letterbox this is my profile

Disney has put together a two-hour special to celebrate America's 250th birthday. It's now available on Disney+. I've watched about the first half... it's set up where they talk about a feature in the parks (Radiator Springs) and tie it to something in our country (Route 66). The clips are fun, short, and educational. I also saw where they will run a 24-hour special starting tomorrow through July 4 that will feature all 50 states.

Breaking Bad is so good! I watch a lot of Mysteries, but not a lot of SiFi. Maybe check out The Boroughs. I didn't LOVE it but it was pretty entertaining, SiFi and mystery :)
Did you watch Stranger Things? That's great!

Servant on Apple TV was weird and I liked it, lol.
A Philadelphia couple are in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens a door for a mysterious force to enter their home.

Only Murders in the Building on Hulu, I loved the first few seasons but never finished the last one. But the first few are really good!
Only Murders in the Building is a comedy-mystery television series that premiered in 2021, created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. The show follows three neighbors in a New York apartment building who bond over their love of true-crime podcasts and begin investigating murders themselves, turning their cases into a podcast.

I watched Voicemails for Isabelle and loved it!!

Then last night I started Elle on Prime Video! It's a prequel to Legally Blonde. Very nostalgic. I know it doesn't have a good rating on rotten tomatoes, but honestly I don't care at all. I apparently like watching bad tv (reality tv is almost always bad, yet I enjoy it lol).

Oh I forgot about Only Murders in the Building! I think I started the most recent season, but I'm not very far into it. I need to watch that! LOL! I have a long list of shows that I need to finish: Sandman, Ghosts (American and UK versions), etc. LOL!

I forgot about Murders in the Building too .... that has been on my bucket list to watch.

Yesterday we started looking into more free streaming apps and such since we are changing our internet service and have to stream everything we want to watch. We had a streaming box through Xfinity and it is way too expensive so we are moving to straight satellite internet. (Wish us luck)

While looking through some apps I found one of my favorite shows "Nashville". So I started to re-watch that again. LOL !!!! I was also tempted to watch old episodes of "The Love Boat" but I will save that for another time. LOL !!! Great memories growing up watching the Love Boat at my Gram's house as a little kid on nights we would sleep over.

I enjoyed "Sweet Magnolias" on Netflix. I think there is a new season out ... I need to catch up. I really like the actress Brooke Elliot who plays Dana Sue on the show. And she was also on Drop Dead Diva ..... that show I think can be streamed on Netflix as well.

But I am going to break down and watch Breaking Bad. I already watched Stranger Things because my son got me into it and also has me rewatching Once Upon A Time more times than I can count. LOL !!!

I'm currently (slowly) watching Schitt's Creek for the first time. Sports are my thing, so watching TV is something I just don't do. But since my friends are always using the memes or talking about it, I figured it was time. I've made it so far.... Season 1 Episode 2. At this rate, it will take forever.
