What Are You CRAFTING? ☀️ {SUMMER 2026} June, July & August

I decided instead of monthly threads, I'll be posting our Watching, Reading, and Crafting chats seasonally.

Our seasonal schedule is:
🌸 Spring: March, April, May
☀️ Summer: June, July, August
🍂 Fall: September, October, November
❄️ Winter: December, January, February

I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you throughout the season! ❤️

Hey crafty friends! ☀️🧵🎨

Summer has arrived, and I always find this time of year brings a different kind of creative energy. Whether you're crafting indoors to escape the heat, taking projects on vacation, or finding inspiration in all the sunshine and color around us, I'd love to hear what you've been working on!

We all share a love for digital scrapbooking here at GingerScraps, but I know many of you have all kinds of creative hobbies, too.

So tell us...

What are you crafting this summer?

Are you:
  • Working on a new project?
  • Finishing up something that's been waiting for attention?
  • Learning a new craft or technique?
  • Creating gifts, home décor, or memory-keeping projects?
  • Diving into a big summer creative adventure?
Feel free to share:
  • Current works in progress
  • Recent finishes
  • New crafts you're exploring
  • Photos of your creations (we LOVE seeing them!)
  • Favorite supplies, tools, or products you've discovered lately
Maybe you're sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, painting, coloring, journaling, making cards, diamond painting, woodworking, or Of COURSE creating beautiful scrapbook pages. Whatever you're making, we'd love to celebrate it with you!

One of my favorite things about this community is seeing all the different ways creativity shines. You never know when your project might inspire someone else to try something new.

So grab your craft supplies, pour yourself a cold summer drink, and show us what you've been creating lately! ☀️✂️🧶✨

And if you're looking for even more conversation and connection, come join us here too: Everyday Chatting & Waffling {2026} Let’s get to know each other!

I belong to the Daughters of the British Empire and we have a June Faire on the first Saturday in June every year. This year I am working on the June Faire tea and my chapter has a booth.

For the tea, I created flyers, menus, a sign, table numbers, tickets, aprons and thank you cards. I heat transfered the design on the aprons and printed all the rest. They are designed the way I do scrapbooks with little elements, etc.

For my booth, I have designed and crafted a dozen or so card designs and printed out a few hundred cards. I also created 12 books and over 300 questions for people to create memory books. I created a few Cricut designs for t shirts and have cut, weeded and heat pressed 50 shirts. I will be printing the sign tomorrow. I still need to create more items. Tonight, I will be creating designs for tea towels and a few more shirts. I had an idea for the shirts last night. Between now and Saturday, I am hoping to create designs for some other items also. I will include some pictures after the Faire is done.

I'm currently in the process of planning and creating for "Camp Gram Gram". This is the 4th year I have done it. Each week in June, I host a themed day for the littles in my family. There are 6 (ages 2-7). Tomorrow is our first day! The theme is Sensational Senses! All about our 5 senses. I will post a video tomorrow. :D🤩 I have do many fun things planned!
I need to make sure I go to bed at a decent hour, so I can get up and going in the morning. But I'm waiting for the $2 Tuesday newsletter to finish sending. I have to babysit it, lol. You would think I could just click "send" but I have to manually send each batch every 9 minutes... It takes hours. I could spend the money to have a service do it, but it is one area I can save the money, so I just do it myself. LOL Newsletter services really add up, it is kind of crazy how much they cost once you have a large audience and I send out at least 2 per week. Ok, I went off on a little tangent didn't I 🤣 😆 🤣 😂 🤣

@FormbyGirl WOW!! I hope you take lots of pictures to show us!! That sounds amazing!!!

@Route66 I'm totally intrigued! Please share some photos when you get a chance, I would love to see what you are making!

I've been having fun customizing my next pair of Disney ears to wear to the park. I've been making a needle felt Kermit the frog, but I may make one of Janice and turn it into a set of ears. I've also been watching a lady on Etsy who will take an existing set of ears and completely bedazzle them. They are so impressive, but wow... she charges quite a bit. So I'm looking at it like ... hmm... I think I could do that! :)

I want to see them! Make sure you post pics when you’re done!

I MISS Gram-Camp so much!!! Oh man! The grands are too old and have such busy lives of their own now. I was just looking through pictures for my retirement party, YUP that's already NEXT FRIDAY!!! and there were pictures of the kiddos making crayon shaving candle holders and colored spinners and s'mores on the deck fireplace.... whaaaaaaaaaaa.... 😭😭😭 I want them to be littles again!

I too would love to see photos of all the cool projects!!

@FormbyGirl Your faire sounds amazing, but also lots and lots of work! I bet it will look amazing!

@GingerScraps Camp Gram Gram sounds so fun!! That's so great that you have enough grandkids for a camp day. The theme sounds great too!

I am not really working on any crafting projects outside of scrapping & design at the moment. The one thing I'd really like to take a few hours and do sometime is make some ATCs and pocket letters to send out in some happy mail & penpal letters. I haven't made any new ATCs in a few months. It's like it takes mental energy to get all the paint and supplies out, but once I do it, I'm always happy. :)

@Carla minicooper452 Oh that is tough!! My mom is LOVING life right now, the new generations of little that she gets to be a great grandma too. I pray that I get to have that same privilege in my lifetime. It is sooooo precious to see her with all the great grand kids (and one grandson) My brother started his family much later in life than my sister and I did, he was 40 when he had his first baby! Expecting baby # 2 in July so we will have one more next summer for Camp Gram Gram <3

Here is a quick little reel of Camp Gram Gram {2026} Week 1 :
Sensational Senses Day <3
This week we explored our five senses with all kinds of fun activities, but my favorite part is always watching these sweet cousins learn and experience everything together. There were lots of laughs, lots of questions, and lots of excitement as they touched, tasted, smelled, listened, and discovered.
We missed Gracie, Rosie & Brier so much this week! Little Rosie was home sick, but they will be with us next week for even MORE fun!
I am so grateful for this time together and the memories we’re making.
Now we’re already counting down the days until next week’s Camp Gram Gram adventure! <3☀️

YouTube blocked my sound because I had music in the background... so the sound is funky.... but you can at least still see it :) I have a really nice music on the version on my insta, but I also can't share that here. LOL I tried my best! haha
