Yesterday I painted it all off white ---- Asked around and asked if people thought i should distress it... overwhelmingly people wanted me too

So ------ still need to find some handles for the drawers and paint the inside of the legs lol (not sure how I have forgotten to do that....
What do you think.

That looks awesome, Jill!! Did you sand the whole thing first to remove the varnish! I say distress, too :)
I've been wanting to repaint our kitchen cabinets, but The thought of sanding is daunting! Lol...

this looks great! I think distressed was the way to go too! What kind of knobs/handles are you using? Something antique?

I used liquid sand and then went over a few areas with the sandpaper again. Then I painted like three coats (four over the stained areas) and then roughed up the edges and used my glaze I bought at Lowes.... easy peasy.... just gotta get some pulls and i think it might look pretty decent.

I say distress it...two reasons, 1. it will look cute :) 2. Since it is painted it is going to start to "distress" itself anyway, in time and with use...so you might as well just go with it!

What a huge difference!
[sounds so like me to forget the obvious :)]
Off-white goes with everything so a thumbs up for the handles!

distressed is always good(but.. ultimately, depending on where you are displaying it)..that is such an awesome difference...looks nice

WOW!! Great job, Jill! LOVE the handle pulls and the distressing, you did a fantastic job! Love the decor on top, too!
