What am I doing wrong?

When I post my layout, I always type in the credits and add links. Then I go back to view the image and none of my credits are listed:( It gets a little frustrating to have to enter this info twice each and every time, so I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong. It seems to be worse since the last upgrade to the system.
 
You aren't doing anything wrong, it is a known problem unfortunately with the gallery at the moment.

I tend not to put in credits the first time, just wait till after, since half the time I'll need to re enter anyway.

Yep, it's been going on for quite a while. They've been trying to fix it but until then add your image, click upload/submit then add your text to that second page then hit process.
 
It is frustrating..... I add my credits and then just copy them and paste into the second page. I will admit to having forgotten to copy a couple of times.... grrrr.
 
Happens to me almost all the time Becky...I have learnt to copy the credits when I complete them and then just paste them in again if they get eaten the first time.
 
Good! I'm glad it isn't just me, lol! I guess I'll have to change my method for the time being.

I still stick below 250 only because other places I post don't allow higher and I'm not going to resize and save 2 different file sizes, LOL

I'm stumped since the gallery guidelines say it was changed to 450 a year ago. I know what your mean about double savings.
 
I'm sorry about the darn credits issue.

It is a real stinker!! We have been trying to find/fix the issue for over a year, I have hired 3 different people to try to fix it and still no one can figure it out.
The big bummer is the company that makes the gallery is no longer open so I can not hire their tech support fix it for me. They also no longer create updates or patches etc.
It seems each time we need to update the forum, the gallery just gets more glitchy (the forum and gallery are different companies and we need to update the forum often for improvements and security patches etc). I wish a new company would make a new and improved gallery ... but until then we don't have a lot of options unfortunately.

Hopefully you can get in the habit of copy and paste of your credits or entering them on the second page. I always enter them on the second page and once in a while that doesn't even stick, then I have to go back and edit my LO to add the credits again.

The gallery is such an important part of our site (and most other scrapbooking sites too), eventually we are all going to have to find another option, since we all pretty much use the same old gallery. Until then we will have to love her even with her glitches. LOL
 
Speaking of glitches Ginger, it seems new avis are displaying bigger in the Whats New page and on profile pages. I thought I was doing something wrong even though I was doing the same as always...kept trying to make it smaller and smaller which only resulted in a tiny avi on the forum page. I change my avi every month and it seems that this month, all new avis are displaying larger but still look fine in the forum and gallery pages.

I never even noticed until now, I will add that to my "to do" list and see if I can find a setting for that. :) thanks for letting me know.
 
Should we have a "how to" pinned to a page with screenshots about how to skip posting credits in the first screen and only posting on the second screen?
