Water Color Paint Kits - WOW!!!

I have always been the type of scrapper where I like to use completely realistic elements, and I work really hard on my shadowing to make my pages look like they are paper pages. However, lately, I have been really drawn to more artsy water color type elements.

Have you seen this kit?

Snickerdoodle Designs, "Love Yourself"

I just fell in love with it. I'm working on one of my first watercolor layouts.

What are some of the things you do with these types of elements? Do you always make them artsy, or do you use them the same way as other elements - shadowing, etc...?

I'm excited to use this kit! I'll post my layout in the thread when I'm done.

Anyone else use this kit? Post your layout! I wanna see!! :)

I am crazy about watercolour kits. Kristmess has some also. So does Connie. They are my favourite things to scrap with.

Some done with watercolour kits. If you go in my gallery, there are tons more. I love using them :)

It was hard to pick them out because sometimes I apply styles on my pictures and the whole layout looks like that even when I am not using that kind of kit!

Here are a couple I made with Love Yourself a while back.

Here's mine!!

I didn't go real watery color - but I'm headed there!!! LOL

That is absolutely fabulous! I commented. You have made a start in the right direction. We are dragging you to the watercolour side!

These are also gorgeous. I totally love them. I am a huge fan of watercolour style. I think they are delicious!

And here's a very different one in the gallery here made with a mix of Snickerdoodle's kits.

Guess by now you have figured out I love this style and I'm a big fan of Kristmess and Snickerdoodle.

Donna, you forgot this, which I have linked because it is gorgeous! In fact, I linked them all because they are worth opening up in full and viewing...

And this!

And wow

There are so many more in your beautiful gallery!

LOs I've done for other stores have a lot of watercolor/non-dimensional products and what I love to do is them on my background, often blending in (PS blend modes, blending options) and then adding in some dimensional products with shadowing overtop. They work great as bottom layers in cluster work too.

BTW....I love how we all enable each other :)

I was just looking thru Snickerdoodle and Kristmess stores and now I want to shop again. My poor wallet just can't keep up LOL. I've been shopping like crazy lately. I can't help it. There are so many gorgeous products!

Great idea!!!!

I really do love using watercolour. In fact, I used a combination of watercolour and 3-d elements for my final Survivor layout.

Not very likely, not with the competition we have this year. There are some pretty amazing layouts....

I know! I'm competing as Staff - so the competition and layouts I'm up against are seasoned and amazing!! I really have to pull out a great one for this!!!
