Thanking for praise in the Gallery

Hello. I've had a lovely welcome here and I am very grateful for all the lovely comments I'm getting for my uploads in the gallery. You are all really kind and the Praise Team are great at encouraging newbies. What is the protocol for thanking people for things they say in the Member Galleries? There doesn't seem to be a thankyou button like there is in the normal forum threads. Is it usual to thank everyone individually? Don't want to spam the boards with thank yous if that isn't the usual thing, or if I've missed an equivalent to 'like' button!

Don't you just love it?!! I get more positive comments in my GingerScraps gallery than anywhere else. Sometimes a comment will be so wonderful that I private message the poster to show my appreciation. Or sometimes they'll ask a specific question that I want to answer for them so I'll send them a pm. But usually I just pay-it-forward and leave love on other pretty pages. I'm so glad you're feeling welcome here! It really is my favorite place to be :)

To echo what Jenny said - a PM is the best way to reach out. I have seen wonderful followup comments made in the gallery comments by a poster responding to earlier commenters - unfortunately there is no notification system for passing on the kind words made to others.

I think the best way is to pay it forward and spread some gallery love around when you can. There is so much talent in the gallery, its a pleasure to look through it each day.

You could, if you wished, seek out the gallery of the person whose comment you are grateful for and pay it forward like Rae said by making a reciprocal comment on a LO by that person. You could also if you wanted say a thank you in that comment.
