Screen Names?

A and J are my initials and I am a quite Random person, just ask my family. :) I came up with it when I needed a designer name eons ago (I was a digiscrap designer for a few years). Now it's my handle on every site I frequent.

When I got married I became a Holmes. My in-laws were known as the Big Holmes' and Steve and I were know as the lilholmes'. We ended up having four kids so I have always had the name lilholmes6.

I have always wanted to know how some of the ladies got their names. Thanks for asking!

Great idea for a thread! For mine, K is for Karen (my first name) and T is for Thompson (my maiden name and married name). Moon is from my favorite My Little Pony growing up, Baby Moondancer, and was my screen name on various sites when I first started posting on the internet. Blue is from the 4-plex I lived in at the time I created this screen name, which is named Bluebird 58. "Blue moon" seemed to common an arrangement (yes, pun intended) so I mixed it up a little.

So cute! Random is a random screen name indeed, haha.

Makes sense! How old are your kiddos? I'm not sure if we're done having kids yet, so I'd have to up my screen name every year karlimarie1, karlimarie2

Very cool, it's so interesting to hear the evolution!

FormbyGirl - I was born and raised in Formby and I always said you can take the girl out of Formby, but you can't take Formby out of the girl. I am much older now and I tend to use FormbyLyn these days when I am setting up an ID. At 64, I am a little shy of the word "girl!"

Hi Karlimarie, What a fun question and I am enjoying hearing eveyone's response. Hubby & I are big OLD car enthusiasts and adore antiques. For our 25th Anniversary we took a road trip we have always dreamed of traveling...Get Your Kicks on Route66! Voila, handle created!

I love this thread! So fun to get to know the background to all your usernames!

Mine is Cinna - which actually is pronounced Kinna with a hard K - which is my Swedish nickname. My real name is Carina :D

Our "kiddos" are 22, 25, 28, and 32. We definitely won't be having anymore, LOL!!!

Many, many years ago . . . I designed scrapbook stuff and that was my brand name - PageFrocks (get it - you dress your page?). I liked it and there always seems to be a Lori already taken, so PageFrocks it is!

I was a fan of your work way back then and nothing has changed:)

It is very obvious how I came by my screen name:D I often wish it were longer so that I could make more interesting siggies

Haha! It's so easy to grow out of a screen name. I actually read your name as Form by Girl, I never would have known Formby was a place.

So fun! I have always wanted to do a cross-county road trip like that. I bet scrapping is was almost as fun, haha.

What a pretty name! In my head I pronounced it as Cinna... like cinnamon.

Very cool. I love that name, so clever!!

Haha, that's such a funny reason to wish for a different name!!

I'm loving this thread!

We homeschool and I named our school Olive Learning School. It's a play on words with "olive" sounding like "I love;" the imagery of a tree; and using the verse from Psalm 52:8 - "
I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever." Therefore, I am OliveLearningMomma.

Speaking of outgrowing usernames, when I first came to digiscrapping, my username was mommy2kadin. Now I'd be Mommy2KadinJeriahAnnikaElyshaZebulun :hysterical:

Oh these are SO FUN! I'm learning so much!

So way back in the 90's, I was talking to my best friend. I talk expressively with my hands, and I was apparently clapping my hands for emphasis without realizing. And she said "Well aren't you happy clappy?" That was around the time I got my very first email address, so it's kind of stuck. Over twenty years now!

I totally get that! I use "Jennifer" on mine, though almost everybody calls me Jen, just because it looks more balanced as a siggy.

Here is my page on my name Oscar T. Grouch becoming firstoscartgrouch

I have often wondered how usernames are picked and how you all decided on what to use. I am heidi1472 every where I go online. Heidi isn't a particularly common name but in the scrapping world it seemed to be. I just added my address to the end and called it good. Guess I can't move, ever.

My old screen name when I first began scrapping was 3littlehelpers as I had 3 little kids at the time but we then added 2 more to the mix so I got between 3littlehelpers & sams scraps as sam is my name & I have more than 3 helpers now lol

I always love hearing how people come up with their usernames!
Mine is pretty self explanatory .... my name is Ginger and I love to Scrap = GingerScraps!
When I picked this name at my first online community I had no idea I would become a designer and then open a shop!
I may have picked something else if I knew it was going to be a site/shop... I feel a little narcissistic having the whole placed named after me, lol.

It's pronounced Pa-chee-ma, and no, it's not a PacMan reference. LOL

Paci is the beginning of our last name, and mac is for the best computers around - Macs! :)

I'm bcgal00 b/c Im a female (gal) living in the Canadian province of British Columbia (BC). Many, many years ago I picked bcgal for my online name somewhere but it was already taken so I added the two zeros to it. I've been bcgal00 ever since, everywhere I go.

I had a friend call me "Morgs" when my last name was Morgan. I live in Texas, so txmorgs became my username. Even after I got married, I didn't change my email or usernames.

Well mine is simple, first name and last name together. But my other screen name before this was jubeefish. My step dad always called me Jubee and then I added fish to it when I got married.

So this is the only place I use the digiscrapmomma handle which is actually my scrap email address lol
Usually I use Duffy_Partyof3 since it's me and my two boys :)
