RQOTD-do you like spicy foods?

I love spicy foods. Love them, but not so hot that I hurt myself. Love wasabi with my sushi. Hubby does not like spicy at all, so when I cook for us, I have to tone it way down. What about you?
 
Nope. My stomach can't handle spice. Even Medium salsa or wings makes my stomach go wild! My palate is weird. It is very strong so everything I eat feels more flavourful than a normal person. (if that makes sense) so for instance, wine, I can't drink it, it is SO strong to me and all I taste is the medicinal aspect, not the fruit, not the aroma, the alcohol and it tastes to me like the worst cough medicine you can handle. Same with alcoholic drinks. They are so strong to me that I gag. One shot to me in a drink tastes like five. My palate is just too strong I guess.

I do like FLAVOUR, just can't do spice or hot. My DH on the other hand is a spicy food addict. He makes a chili with ghost pepper flakes and habaneros. He eats Jalapenos like they are jelly beans!! He has a hot sauce collection that would rival a chef's and I'm sure some are illegal to buy here! LOL...it's insane.
 
I didn't used to but my husband is now the cook and he does so I have gotten used to it. I think the thing for me is that I'm not that wild about pepper spicy. But I've ALWAYS loved horseradish on my red meat. Not that wussy cream horseradish. Nope, crushed raw horseradish. I told a waiter at Outback once that if I wasn't screaming, it wasn't enough horseradish :)

Depends on HOW spicy. Morningstar farms has these Buffalo Chicken patties that I like but I typically dip in ranch or sour cream to cut the spice a bit!
 
I do but I have to be very careful because I have what is called a geographic tongue and too much spice (or even too much acid) will make my tongue very painful - it clears up overnight but halfway through a dish and I have to stop because it's too painful :( I love curry and I've learned to use milder versions. I love all kinds of different hot sauces but I have to limit them to just a couple drops per dish, etc.
 
I do like spicy, but too much spicy that I can't enjoy eating it. My dad is a huge fan of the Ghost Pepper sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings. But I'll just stay with the "hot" sauce myself.
 
I love spicy food but not to much. My little one doesn't like it hot so I can only eat it when I'm alone like this weekend
