Really dumb question here

Most of the time I email them to myself.

I don't have an iPhone (android here) but you should be able to plug your phone into your computer and transfer it from there. When I plug mine in it gives you an option of what you want to do.

When i connect my iPhone to my computer a pop-up will ask me what I want to do, then I choose save to pictures.

I have an android and I use dropbox. I have an account with dropbox and it's also installed on my phone. Every time I take a photo it is automatically uploaded to dropbox. When I connect with wifi, it automatically uploads it then the next time I get on my computer and dropbox syncs, I have my photos. No need to connect my phone to my computer. Works pretty slick!

That sounds like a great idea. how much does it cost to subscribe to dropbox?

My android automatically backs up to Amazon Photos whenever I'm connected to wi-fi. I have Amazon Prime so it's free to back up unlimited photos.

I'm an Apple gal, so I AirDrop photos between my iPhone, iPad, iMac, and MacBook Air. My phone and tablet also automatically send photos to iCloud, which I can access on all my devices.

I have an Samsung but I know you can do the same thing:

I have ALL my phone photos automatically back up to Google Photo automatically. Then I just download them a week or two at a time to my computer. I used to do it on Dropbox but Dropbox has a limit and Google Photo.
