I've been waiting for one of the places I've had previous layout books published to have a sale and it doesn't seem to be happening! Does anyone know of anywhere I can get a 12x12 book printed (online) that'll be about 70 pages for a half way reasonable price? I've finally completed my oldest daughters 1st year book and want to give it to her for Christmas this year, but can't afford premium prices. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. :)
 
I just ordered 5 12 x 12 books from blurb.com in May. I did however find a 40% off coupon which was a huge savings. The quality of the books is amazing as well. I think they do have a 20% off coupon for your first order.
 
Just ordered it through blurb.com. Didn't get any kind of discount, but I'm determined she WILL have it for Christmas this year, so just DID it! I simply CANNOT wait to see it!!!! I've been working on this book for about 3 years and plan on giving her the original, too. Oh... background... I found my oldest daughter's "1st Year" book. It was basically just a calendar book, which I used to record her first year. She was born in 1984, so it was pre-digital. I had a really good 35mm camera and wrote details in the book about photos I took of her, which enabled me to create layouts which included the pages from the book with the photos. It's been a labor of love. I can't wait to see her face at Christmas when she realizes what she's holding in her hands!!! <3
 
How fun! I've never used Blurb, I've been doing the 10x10 at Shutterfly. They keep having 50% off sales but what's annoying is it doesn't give a discount on the extra pages. Sheesh those add up! My mother in law uses Artscow- they're super reasonable but the quality isn't as good as Shutterfly.

You may want to contact them and see if they will honor it. Some will and some won't but it is worth a try.
 
I have been stocking up on print credits at Persnickety Prints when they have sales. I print pages and put in them in scrapbook binders that I buy at Michaels. For gifts I too have used Shutterfly but only 8x8 not 12x12. I do have to say I LOVE LOVE seeing my pages in 12x12...LOVE!! Your daughter is going to LOVE the book, great job!! :)
 
I'm not much of a book printer - I usually print pages & add them to a scrapbook. But, my husband told me last night that Amazon has a new photo and book printing service. I don't know what the prices are like...just thought I'd share :)

I just looked it up and they only print in 8 x 11 inches and the costs are:
Starting at $19.99, 20 pages included
2 additional pages $1.00

BUT you can print up to 150 pages of photos, text, and embellishments. It's fully customizable from cover to cover, has a glossy hard cover and is printed in the US!

I wonder if they will ever print 12x12 and have printing sales to make it affordable to print a 100-page album!
 
I've planned and been waiting, for Winkflash's flat rate sale. They've not had them, but I've just discovered they are having a 60% off sale and that includes the additional pages! You can get a 50-page 12x12 leather bound book for $55 plus shipping. I LOVE Winkflash and have four or five 100-page albums printed with them. Their quality is exceptional!
